Works great for what I do. I haven't encountered any of the crashes or issues listed in previous comments.
I have used Cyberlink powerdirector since 5, its now on 20, its the best one I do not own fancy PC and never crashes, 10 out 10 from me
Same here, i tried Movavi, Filmora & CapCut and nothing beats cyberlink
I am an advanced user and have used PowerDirector for 10 years.
It is a good balance between ease of use and advanced features.
It still has single purchase option which is a major plus.
You get what you pay for. It has a lot of pro features, but none of them is executed very well. Performance is so-so and crashes are not uncommon.
The 365 version overloads you will a million pretty worthless content that bloats the system.
I would give it a B- rating, even though I use it daily.
I would give it a A IF they added pro quality tools. For example tracking, they have it but compared to Davinci or Premeire it is sorely barely useable.
it's the crashing issue that's wearing me down with movavi (vid editing sw). am looking for stability!

@@graphguy just had a 10min vid crash my desktop 4 times; heck, i even restarted the desktop and kept all applications closed and it still crashed! desktop is new, 64gb ram, 4090 card, i9 chip, 2tb hd -- 2 months old.
we all have to deal with bugs -- been online for 25 yrs -- so, whatever runtime that is.
seems like i still have a conflict even on new desktop (my lenovo's OS fried making a vid); most crashes happen when i make a media file out of the vid. (to be clear, i use movavi; the word 'crash' is giving me a 'tick' today ;)

@@NOVACREATIONS-s I still use Movavi. I finish my edits, then re-start the desktop before converting my work to a video. i've had no crashes in a few months.
I agree with many others here… It crashes quite often. It also has memory losses, especially after software updates, when opening older projects: It cannot find files anymore although the are still at the same location on HDD. I have the very old and never updated Windows Movie Maker which is thousand times more stable than Cyberlink’s PowerDirector, on Windows 11. Cyberlink’s software cannot even restore projects after it crashed, you need to press the Save button by yourself all the time. I could not find an „autosave“ feature.

Maybe learning to make your voice over audio have no echo, less tinny & sound more naturally professional should be your next tutorial.

This is the worst software ever. I have a brand new powerful computer, and this ediltor crashes constantly. When I finally get a video edited, it just closes and I lose everything. Horrible.
This is absolutely spot on! Tired of losing like 25-50% of my progress due to temperamental software.

Total fail from the 23 version. The only difference was AI, and it lost track and mixed-up images.
It’s garbage. Crashes and the audio doesn’t play. Crashes every minute. I’m enraged

It's insanely rubbish... Half the time doesn't process shadow copies so spend hours adding and removing files until it decides to... Only good for editing 5 min videos as opposed to anything nearing the 30 minute mark (assuming it doesn't force close on you of course which it ALWAYS does). Remarkable how they can charge for such software. I used the phone version at first then decided to give the PC version a try (Big Mistake!)... I film edit down football matches into highlights packages so quite simple in terms of editing. Yet I have to break my editing to Halves as PD couldn't handle a full match on the same save file.
Would avoid like the plague if you're looking to level up your editing... As you'll lose a days work overall due to the software lacking intelligence, force closes (even when saving and on 100% it'll freeze on you, losing a good chunk of progress), and adding shadow copies, waiting for them to process but after 3 hours it's still saying "processing" when in reality it should take no more than 30 minutes for a larger file.
Hey that might be a computer problem, I edit football and 45min videos all the time
I've purchased and can't seem to get into anything - Disgusted !
