Printing this out currently. :) I found that you don't really need adhesive backed labels for printing. I used rubber cement on the print and on the paper, let both dry, then line them up and burnish them together using just my hands and a clean cloth. Nice and sturdylike. Oh, and i've found that some sharpie on the cut edges will get rid of any white bits showing. :D
wow, how did i miss this new build. Have built 5 of the instruments and was getting ready for this one. Thank You. I know that you are busy, but keep up the good work. We dependent on you and are inspired by what you are doing.
Hi Bob! god I love all of your videos long time fan, if I may provide a tiny bit of feedback, all of your flight sim parts are incredible and work really well, the only thing that takes away from that is the rough cutting of the stickers :D if you were able to use sharp scissors for the outside parts, and a scalpel for the inner holes you would get nice clean cuts and wouldn't see any of the white of the paper.
Absolutely! Now I use an exacto knife and the cuts are much much better. I also will run the edge over with a sharpie to mask any pof the paper fibers :)
Another excellent video Trevor! I like the idea of using white filament as backlighting. I also like the arduino board mount you got there. Looks like the 6 pack is coming along nicely!
I don't think so - mine are based from real aircraft dimensions not TRC's panel (like version 1 was) You can print off the drawing PDF in GitHub and test it though!
hello cap! congratulations for the channel content, I need some help on "compare" in MobiFlight, I'm using this in "comparassion settingns: "if current value is: < 2 ; set it to: if($=0,'COM','HDG') else set it to: if($=2,'FMS','NAV') ........which is only 4 items and i need 8 items how can i do that? can you help me? tks!
@@CaptainBobSim Changing the encoder profile, I'm going to use only 1 encoder for 8 functions...but I can only get 4 with the if() formula I know... 1 encoder is FMS/HDG/COM/NAV/RANGE/FMS2/BARO/DRS to use in Gramin

Nice idea! The sharpie is a great idea, it really makes it look a lot cleaner!
Damn Trevor that is probably on of your best instruments! Great work!
Thank you! It was a blast to make!

Hi Gerald! That's so awesome, I hope you enjoy building this one!
Thank you for your kind words and support, you rock!
Nice job, Trevor.
Thank you!!
Excellent, glad to have you again.
Glad to be back! Hopefully I can post at least every once in a while

Thank you Kovinator! It'll be exciting to get the 6 pack done
That was awesome! Interesting project!...
Glad you liked it!
Question for aurdino mega, How many pins can you *not* use, I’m not sure where the different pins are located which you are not going to use
Whatever pins it lets you assign it to are which ones you can use :)
I wrote an article here: captainbobsim.com/mobiflight-arduino-compatibility/
so cool! im working on a 2 seat citation longitude sim
Thats awesome!
Does anyone have any more info on the steppers? A Search for x20 steppers doesn't turn up with anything looking like these little motors.
Solved it! X27 stepper motor for anyone else struggling to find them!
"Oh, yes! You play with (ball)s more often!" -//-
Keep the ball in the middle for the whole time of the turn! Rudder&Ailerons coordination........
Man, I had all the parts except the empty RC car box - I better go order one.
Don't want to start the build without it!
Captain are those bezels match with TRC panel size????
I don't think so - mine are based from real aircraft dimensions not TRC's panel (like version 1 was)

What do you mean by needing 8 items? What exactly are you trying to achieve?
