In a past interview the guys were asked about who their musically inspirations are & JK said Justin Timberlake & Usher he now has Standing Next To You remix w/Usher & 3D remix w/Justin Timberlake. What’s been exciting to see is how different everyone in BTSs solos has been. All are amazing but you might never guess they are all in the same group.

Jungkook or JK for short is the main vocalist. The fact that all 7 members can release amazing solo work is a testiment to the star power of BTS.
JK's label announced this as a subtle homage to Michael Jackson. This was his third Official solo release leading up to his album "Golden". None of JK's solo releases are Kpop. They are all American productions and should not be considered Kpop for that reason. Even his dancers are famous American dancer/choreographers. He once stated that he wanted to be a "giant pop star", and that meant launching into the American pop market. This song was written and produced by Grammy Award winning Producer of the Year Andrew Watt and a team of notable American/Canadian songwriters Cirkut, Jon Bellion and Ali Tamposi. It was produced by the Canadian producer/songwriter known as Cirkut. It was recorded at Watt's L.A. Studio and the video was filmed at an abandoned power plant in Budapest, Hungary.
Andrew Watt has produced albums for Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, the Rolling Stones new album and other notables. The Canadian producer Cirkut also has impressive credits such as producing for "The Weeknd" and others. Watt and Cirkut plus others from their team of songwriters were also involved with his first official solo release "Seven" Feat. Latto and also his album "Golden". Seven broke streaming records right out of the gate and was followed by another hit "3D" Feat. Jack Harlow. "seven is the fastest song in history to reach 100 million streams and is now over 1.4 billion.
There is an Usher Remix Performance Video of this Jungkook track that you will like. Usher featured it on his new album released last Feb. JK's album "Golden" is now over 2.5 billion streams. His album features songs with songwriting or producing credits to Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes in addition to Andrew Watt and Cirkut.

For a 71 yo fan of BTS, you know your stuff. Respect! 54 yo fan here of the group and JK is my bias. I first noticed him in the first song I saw, “DNA.” My teenage daughter showed them to me one day. And since then, I’ve been hooked and a huge fan. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
@@bts_fan4life21 I first saw them in a Samsung Commercial after my husband died in Dec of '20 during Covid. I thought "Who are these adorable young men?" They gave me something to focus on while I was first grieving and I have been Army ever since. They are very special in my life. Now I am 72 year old Army since I had a birthday.

ARMY brownie points for wondering if the wings are tied to Black Swan but they were also seen in Blood Sweat & Tear so basically they are a throwback to BTS' HYYH era.
Jungkook is the best and biggest solo Asian artist at the moment. He is breaking not just records but barriers for Asian Solo artists in the music scene. Respected by the western music industry, we are all highly anticipating his continued solo work and worldwide success when he completes military service and returns in 2025 to resume group and solo activities.

there's so much to love about JK. He's not even my bias, but everyone knows he's sort of the jewel in BTS' crown. He's the golden maknae, after all.
You wouldn't know it from his personality though... he's as humble and hardworking as they come. Sweet too--he wears his heart on his sleeve. Well, sweet, but also quite cheeky with the other members... he's the youngest of the group and has SERIOUS little brother energy around them. 😂
Ooooh, that’s sweet…“the jewel in BTS’ crown”. I love that! 👑 It reminded me of their epic 2019 MMA Dionysus performance where 7 pendant lights dropped from the ceiling one by one as they did their introductions to form the “Northern Crown” constellation. (Corona Borealis). 💜

Jungkook: "actually it might sound like a paradox. because i do understand that it's important to exude my own distinct colors, but i also want to be able to have various different colors as an artist, various genres, styles, lyrics, voices... so i want to know how far i can go and test my limit.
You asked if he had other solo work. Yes. This is a track off his new album called Golden. So obviously there are other solo tracks and a couple of tracks with featured artists in a collaboration.
Besides the fact they've all had solo work within the BTS discography.

Jungkook is one precious human being. I love him deeply. That he's so talented and makes amazing music comes even on top. He's BTS' main vocalist, lead dancer, center, as Namjoon said - BTS' DNA. He did a little showcase on times Square and sang 5 songs live. I highly recommend to check out this. He's amazing - even more when he's singing live
If you want to continue checking out their solo work, I would recommend RM'S wildflower next or jhope more or arson, all are great. But if you want to check out jungkook more I recommend jungkook live at times Square its great! What ever you choose for bts or their solo work nothing disappoints lol

Great reaction! This is from his solo album, Golden. JK wanted to really reach the Western world with it so the whole album is in English. Other solos by him from BTS albums are Euphoria, My Time, and Begin!

They all have their own style on their solo albums. Of the vocalists:
Jk - pop star MJ style.
V - loves the classics like Sinatra, jazz, and R&B. His album Layover is a story through all six songs. Very different feel from a K-pop artist. His newest single Fri(end)s has a great music video! He is also an actor so he loves being creative.
Jin - he only had time for one solo before he enlisted, but it’s a good one! The Astronaut. He actually performed this with Coldplay at their concert as they were involved with the song (I can’t remember if it’s production or writing.) Jin doesn’t enjoy dancing that much so it’s mostly a ballad type song. BTS has a collab with Coldplay called My Universe (love it!) and Chris Martin has a nice friendship with the group.
Jimin - also pop and has a song on a Fast & Furious soundtrack. Honestly probably my least favorite of the solos just because in pop music, I like JK’s style a bit more.
Seven amazing, talented guys. Love them as a group and their solo songs too.

Kpop is not a genre. Is an industry. Jk is just sing a pop song. His group bts and him does a lot of genres but their roots are hip hop r&b . This is a homage to MJ.
Jk's vocal ranges are on another level, you'll be surprised his live performances are insanely beautiful.

There is a reason he is called the golden maknae. Jung Kook is on all the BTS songs (I think) as layered background vocals to every member’s vocals.
I've have been into kpop for a long time, here are some things you need to know:
- Kpop is an industry more than a music genre.
- Every group is under a label, the most famous are the big 3 (SM, JYP, YG) + HYBE. The last one is BTS label, known for their fast grow in the kpop music industry, now is massive.
- Currently we are in the 5th gen of kpop, that means the music, general concept and vibe of the groups has shifted from the previous ones.
- Kpop groups use english words or phrases, rap and dance in almost every song (with some exemptions). They release full english, japanese or chinese songs too.
- Every group have positions, these are, leader, visual, center, face of the group, lead singer, main singer, rapper, sub-rapper, sub-vocalist and maknae. In 5th gen of kpop is common that there are no oficial positions for the members, but fans still try to guess which one is which as a habit or sometimes 'cause it's obvious.
- Groups can have a lot or few members. Generally groups have 4, 5, 7, 9 or 12 members, but don't be surprise, there are a lot of groups with more than 12.
- It's normal that they act in dramas, being models, promote their music in public (malls, street), sing in basquetball or baseball mid time games, being MCs in tv shows and have live in "weverse live" to communicate with their fans. In 5th gen, it had become super common that luxury brands make one member or the full group ambassadors and go to fashion events and also to make tiktok challenges or to dance to their own music challenges with other idols.
- Almost every group has a general concept. It can be that this group has more cute songs, or that group is more incline to sexy concept. 5th gen have more aesthetic, brigth, happy or retro concept and put dance as a priority.
- Groups can have members from a lot of different nationalities, and it's still kpop. It's common that kpop groups have japanese, chinese, thai, korean-american members. Nowadays as kpop is spreading even more globally, in some groups you can find members from taiwan, vietnam, india, latin members, americans, australians, etc.
- It's super common that kpop groups were form from general or they own label survival shows.
- There's a LOT of kpop groups in south korea, but generally the ones that are more knwon and make it big, are the ones that debuted under the big 3 + HYBE labels, or were form from famous reality shows like Produce or Girls/Boys planet 999.
- It's mandatory in south korea for men in their late 20's up to 30 years to attend military service for two years. Commonly members goes one by one to the military and in this period companies get afraid that the group can be forget by the fans and the general public. It's kinda sad, but usually when all the members of a group return, their group isn't so much trendy as it was before.
- When a kpop group has some time in their career and had made somewhat a name in the industry, labels allow members to realese individual albums and promote as a soloist.
- BTS : is the iconic group of south korea, that paved the way for kpop to be ackwnoledge globally and change the conception of the word "idol" in their country. They have offered so much to music, literally legends.
In this case, you are reacting to Jungkook from BTS. The song you listened is from his solo album he realease before enlisting for the military. Currently all BTS members are going to the military, but they will comeback on 2025.
I recommed you to react to BTS 'cause they really are a miracle in kpop. They're third gen, but still active.

- 4th gen: aespa, enhypen, treasure, ive( iconic member wongyoung, everybody in korea knows her), nmixx, nct dream, g-idle, ateez, stray kids, the boyz, new jeans (queens of 4th gen, super famous in and outside of korea), le sserafim, itzy, TXT.
- 5th gen: riize (it group of the moment, iconic member park wonbin), tws, nct wish, boy next door, xikers, zerobase one, baby monster, ill'it. All of them are just starting.
I know i wrote a lot, but i hope i can help you to understand kpop better, it's really fun music that also inconciously make you learn korean language and culture.
His Golden album I’ve listened to on repeat. He’s one of the best vocalists of all time. I wasn’t a K-pop fan when I was introduced to BTS. After hearing their music, I learned that they’re a genre of themselves.
JK has such a great voice and he was meant to perform…I love that they all did their solo things cause it gave them a chance to do what they wanted instead of what was best for “the team”.
And yes, he is gorgeous 🥹 I love that he got to do the performance video with Usher (the behind the scenes for it was so cute too cause he was so nervous lol)

His whole album, Golden, was really good. It is all in English. The other videos he released from album is 3D, Seven and I Hate You. The live performance at Times Square was also really good. He sang 5 songs from his album.

this is my favorite of all their solos; I love them all but I think Jungkook has so much potential as a solo artist.

They all really have very different tastes in music and their voices are suited to very different styles solo wise. It’s been fun to watch. But I have a special place in my heart for funky base lines, brass lines, and old MJ/Earth Wind and Fire so his has been my fav so far.
