Every elementary school should come equipped with a Steve Spangler. I had one at my school, although he was known as Mr. Crews: Great science teacher got me hooked on science.
S C I E N C E ! ! ! !
LC
4:25 that Asian lady at the top right corner was really not happy about it
I love how genuinely hype he is about science!
when the bubbles exploded I thought Ellen will kill steve
I did this at home in my pool! I literally bought SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much cornstarch! I didn't fall either, it was so fun!
4:21 I feel like Ellen is about to kick the guy
Ok that walking on that cornstarch pool that is... freaking awsome!!!!
OMG SO AWESOME ! I WISH I COULD DO THIS !
I love the popping bubbles. i laughed so hard, i think its the only time i have seen ellen truly scared
Those experiments are so cool! My class did an experiment with oobleck before- the last experiment.
My face is hurting from smiling and laughing too much! This is awesome.
I think this is a great way to learn science and wish our public school from middle class to high school do this kind experiment in class to keep kids interesting in science.
The black water thing was so cool because of the speed at which the change occurs: Virtually instantaneously!
Awesome!
LC
the cornstarch pool looks awesome!
HA! I love watching these! I feel like a little kid!
You always tell your kids to play with it...
LOL!
OMG That is so KOOOOOLL I love this guy.. He is the ULTIMATE SCience TEACHER!!! Wow!!! He should have dvds out. I totally would order for myself and for my nephews they would love this
her face was priceless lol I love Ellen
He is so cool
Oh I LOVE playing corn starch!!
I LOVE playing with cornstarch and water. I figured it out by playing with baby powder and water. It's kinda like quicksand! :)
Sweet! I wanted to know too! Thanks!
We make this for my daycare children....they love it!!
Love how Ellen always pretends to drink the stuff in the beakers, and Steve always goes "No NO!", hilarious!
the ink changing was so cool!
Haha! He has a great sense of humor!!!
I LOVE IT WHEN SHE TRIES TO DRINK IT.. LOL
I am so in love with non newtonian fluids! And I absolutely love Ellen and Steve
2 of my fav shows combined =)
ellen "wait so your igniting my hands?" steve says "its, not a big deal" lol i was laughing so much.
"Isn't that cool? Isn't that cool?"
The 'Chemistry' between these two is just amazing haha, too funny
Oh my gosh i just did the cornstarch experiment...ITS AMAZING!!
I'm glad you can't hear my thought!!
LOL
I have done the cornstarch trick when i was little with my babysitter and i never knew what the stuff was until this day!
no one could scare Ellen except Steve Carell... and Steve Spangler has done it.
It's not a big deal. Famous sentence by Steve Spangler :)
Ellen is Pissed when the bubbles ignite! Lolz
I love your shows there AWSOME
LoL thought protectors
"I'm glad you can't hear my thoughts!" XD
The second experiment is a great example of a clock reaction.
oh man when he lit those bubbles and it popped... the look on her face... I have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard.
This is so awesome.
I love the way Steve scares Ellen every time
I think this is my favorite Spangler/Ellen episode ever
That corn starch could be a great punching bag.. :D
The one with the corn starch is what's called a non-newtonian fluid.
Hahaha, Ellen's face after the fluids turned black - PRICELESS! XD
when the bubbles explode, it looks like Ellen is going to punch Steve in the face. LOL
0:58 ...... hehehehhehehehe ... luv dat laugh ;)
Cracks me up when she pretends she's gonna drink the liquefied experiments and steve freaks out lol
thanks ^^ keep this stuff up :P its epic!
"wait you're igniting my hands!"
"it's ok, it's not a big deal."
so funny!
i watch this because our physics teacher showed this to us... and i felt amazed! xD
When I was younger I went to a science show inside a basketball stadium.
Well right at the start while everyone was talking, the professor dude thought it would be a good idea to light a hydrogen balloon. The sound from the explosion was so loud it made the entire stadium shake.
the way she looked at steve when the bubbles exploded hahah
Haha Ellen "I'm glad you can't here my thoughts!"
THAT. is the best pop sound test ever.
he is honestly such a good host
I knew it all along!!!
I want him as my science teacher.
Pause at 2:40- ellen's facial expression is so funny!!! LOOL
awesome !!!!
love the cornstarch pool. if you do slip into it, i think it would be hard to get out.
AWWWW + SOMEEE = AWSOME!!!
I like how he says its not a big deal a lot hahaha
We always tell our kids 2 play with it!
i love steve spangler
LOL when the bubbles burst shes like why? lol
She got a huge fright when the bubbles burst ... her staff might not be able to scare her, but Steve Spangler can!
this is how science should be taught!!!!
omfg...when he touched the light bulb i jumped, hahahaha. the noise scared me. hahaha.
The last experiment with the water and cornstarch mixture is actually a non-nucleotonic solution.
" its no big deal "
lmaao, i cracked up everytime i heard that. xD
her face was awesome at 2:37
This makes me want to be a science teacher
Looks so fun now I wanna try it
I LOVE THIS MAN!
I think the coolest one he did was that liquid trick where it went from clear to pure black.
I wonna have him as since teacher !!!
He takes Ellen to serious! LOL
Oblic!!!! I spelled that wrong! Were gonna make that in science for our chemistry unit! Im sooo excited!!!!!
Is based on the balance of acids and bases, an indicator is used, when equilibrium is reached the indicator will change color, so that Ellen by mixing the right amount of acid and base, the indicator (in this case black) gave a change indicating that the reaction has reached equilibrium. Look for "titration with NaOH and HCl" :D
i did the corn stark experiment in 7th grade and we called it ooblek!:)
"ow thats hot" lol i love steve and ellen the perfect show
and of couse she wanted to drink it lol
you r awesome dude i can't stop watchhim :D
HAHAH Ellen at 4:22 is like "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING"
i NEED TO TRY THAT CORN STARCH THING!!
Always have to keep Ellen from drinking lol
I've actually done that thing he did with the light bulb in my highschool physics class before. It was fun, people were shocking each other...good times.
He says awesome ALOT!!!!!
Super cool
Omg I want to walk on corn starch too !
It's called the Iodine clock reaction - Google "Periodic Videos Iodine Clock" where they talk you through the reaction & actually show you the reaction with a high-speed camera.
that's so cool!
Gosh I love Ellen!
Lol, we did the cornstarch thing in class.
Steve is the first person who was able to scare Ellen :D
4:20 lol!!!!! i love elen's reaction
That girl took me to the Sadie Hawkins dance in high school.
