I’m in myrtle beach right now! About to go surfing! And also it was much worse than this, trees caught on fire because the lighting and the thunder sounded like an air strike or a volcanoe erupting
As a local of NMB, it floods like this all the time when the rain is heavy. Like most, we were on the beach 30 minutes and then the clouds rolled in and next thing I know the lifeguards made everyone get off the beach. Good times!
Yep! This is typical,, we lived in Cherry Grove for years up until 4 years ago and it was very common for locals to get on their paddle boards and ride them down ocean boulevard during the storms, lol! ,,,,, you think that's bad,, you should see downtown Charleston at high tide!!
We stayed in north Myrtle the week after the 4th, eventually figured out there is a chance of rain every single day and you just never know when it's coming or going and you just have to roll with it lol.
So happy that didn't happen while I was there a few weeks ago. Hope it doesn't happen when I am back in AUGUST. We need the rain here in North Carolina.Still love myself some Myrtle Beach ⛱️🏖️⛱️🏖️
Pretty typical summer storm for my hometown. Flooding is always bad along Ocean Boulevard in NMB, especially Ocean Drive. I had to Wade across once in waist deep water right at Ocean Blvd & Main.
I was there when this happened as well. We were out swimming and I saw a bad cloud come up. My mom looked at me and my daughter said y'all need to get inside. We got on our way up my daughter was telling people not to go out to the beach It's gonna get bad. They were like its OK we are going out to have fun. We got in our room and showered right before all that ran came down.
Everyone has acted like this was the first time. My husband and I owned a business in that area for 16 plus years. Every time it came a heavy downpour our business flooded. The inconsiderate people driving in it didn’t care how the waves they made just pushed more water into it. This has been going on for a long time.
@@X.L.B1 That is not what I was referring to. Some of the people do it deliberately to see if they can make the water splashes either people or the buildings. I have pulled my truck across the road just to make them stop so my business would not continue to flood.
@@bgbikerbabe I think you’re being unreasonable. You can’t control traffic and if a person needs to drive down a road they’re going to. It’s not necessarily their fault for where you decided to start your business. Seems like a you problem. I’ll most definitely be driving by your store come the next storm
..Yeah when this happened , we were camping in MB state park- the floor of our tent literally became a waterbed, water was nearing the bottom of our car, and the entire road was flooded.
Lightning struck my church. aka surfside pca it struck the bell tower but upstairs is up and running bc the strike was 2 months ago but it destroyed the inside with the water. And the bell tower is above the pastors office and still no new ceiling yet just a tarp.
i might have been in this storm because on this same day i was in bald head island north carolina at a parade and it started thundering and lightnining
Malarchy! Global warming is a much slower process, even with mankind's recent 150 year advance in aiding global warming. 3 degrees warmer? Wow...think hard about that! 3 degrees! Some years just happen to be warmer than others! North Pole has been a tropical place many many times throughout the millions of years. Trees animals plant life etc... If man were not here on earth, the planet would still go thru global cycles of warming and freezing. ATOP THE PANIC!

Be safe!
Snore. The weather
What is new
IT WAS SOOO BAD my parents were in shock lol
This was taken the day my grandpa would have turned 63 years old. God bless you all.
stay young kid
@@TheWackyRigger thank you. Have a blessed day
We left there on the 3rd. There were threats of storms our week and half there, but we had perfect weather. We had an amazing vacation.

Everybody should say a LITTLE PRAYER for BLESSING GOOD WEATHER upon USA
Wow. I was at Peppertree too when that happened. I was in room 420. Alot of rain that day for sure.
Looks like a perfect Fourth of July to me.
FYI: driving your cars through water can ruin them! It is best to park in an elevated location and wait out the storm.
Oh wow! Thanks for posting!
I feel bad for that lady but I’ll admit I did kinda laugh when she face planted. At least it wasn’t on straight concrete so she should be alright
Omg ... the person running out to catch a ride fell down in the street and went completely underwater! 😮
I was there for this. I was staying at the Wyndham
My family and I were down near Surfside Beach and the storm was really intense. Luckily we arrived the 3rd and didn't have to drive through the storm.
Typical summer weather here including the crazies! Lol
I work in NMB. I had that day off. But yeah, it always floods when it rains heavily. As we say, don't drown, turn around🤣

This is pretty normal here honestly
My grandfather had a condo in north myrtle Beach and sold it because none of us ever came to visit him there. No big loss.
How unfortunate! Our kids would have loved it if we had a condo there!
I live in North myrtle. Nothing new about how bad the storms are

We were just at North Myrtle 2 weeks ago, so sad.
All clear now
Wow, that is crazy!

Had the same thing just down the road in Myrtle Beach, coming up 17 bypass in my truck I was about ready to get the propeller out.
Drivers not too bright.... Tourists!
All tourists! We locals know better.
We’re will be there Friday for a few days! Hopefully we get at least a little bit of decent weather! It’s supposed to rain all weekend too 😟
Perfect weather today
Looks like a typical day in south west fl

We are going next week. Does anyone know how myrtle beach board walk area did?
Are you asking how it is? Well if so it is fun and sometimes tiring but it’s fun with a lot of stuff to do
It’s all clear now
Those gusts are close to 70, yeah very intense storm. Does MB always flood like this?

We vacationed at Chery Grove in the seventies and eighties and it flooded at least some during many storms....just not quite like this!
We were there from the 1st through the 5th of July 2022!
we got hit by Tropical Storm Collins. it suddenly form on the 2nd and hit only us and nc. it form off the coast of us
We were there not that bad
I have a place here and it really wasn't bad and nothing where I was so just a typical day at the Beach.
Just a saying
What do police and first responders do in these sites?
GOD BLESS MYRTLE BEACH ❤️🐦🐤🌺🌹🦫🐕🧺
I literally just left the place like 3 hours ago.
All clear now 😂
what time of day was this?

I'm planning to move to Myrtle beach all summer, is it something to be worried ?
No. this was over in a few hours. It's my favorite beach.
@@runningsensei9661 thanks! I'm from Madrid so this kind of things are not very common.

God bless America -. What is going on with these storms
Fireworks?
Think it floods there? Downtown Charleston is always underwater with rains like that, they don't call it the Lowcountry for nothing.
i might have been in this storm because on this same day i was in bald head island north carolina at a parade and it started thundering and lightnining
Hmmm I'm from Pompano Beach and this is not unusual. When you live at sea level and there's nothing but concrete every where it just happens.
I lived 3 miles up etc 17 in little river. I know exactly where this is
The place probably needed a good cleaning!
I stay in Longs, that shit was funny af
I been live down here 7 years this shit nothing. It just a little rain lol come by when it cat 4 can see no car in the water lol
I'm going to surf city soo...
I broke my phone when it started raining because I had a hole in my screen it was fun tho
A TOTAL “GULLY WASHER!” WOW/I WOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT “THE LIGHTNING!” THOUGH/JUST SAYING :-|
WHO'S RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THIS BAD WEATHER?
White Supremacist!!!!
i bet this washed a lot of shark teeth out
