Content is good, but would recommend to use excel and leave the file for audience to use.. it would be very beneficail to use excel formulas for the same. PV and FV.
Do we only consider FD rate as opportunity cost always or can it vary? Also can we assume opportunity cost to be returns we could have gotten from stock market. Usually it has been a return of 12% - 15% so can we assume that or does the opportunity cost need to always be fixed like FD and not fluctuating (and potentially risky by ending in loss) like the stock market?
Index returns of 12%-15% is valid for long term, whereas FD is generally more stable over short term, and hence FD rate as an opportunity cost is preferred. Government bond yield is also used in some calculations to determine the terminal value of a company during valuation process.
