The hoya wayetii var could have possibly had flat mites, but flat mites weren’t really on anyone’s radar a couple years ago.

Keep a water reservoir under the Hoya imbricata till you can repot it it’s in a type of coco chip fibers that are long and wood shaped I think ...I have seen that before my friend had one in the same exact stuff and she kept a water reservoir under the plant and then once the reservoir dried out give it a few days to dry out then do the process all over again and it should start growing a lot better and staying hydrated and you won’t have to worry about watering it every day!!

If this is the elephant platycerium (from Africa ) then it’s likely dead, they should NEVER ever be allowed to dry. If it’s any of the Australian tropical platyceriums it may come back if you’re lucky. I have an African one and it’s planted in a very moist retaining potting mix because it’s so sensitive to dryness.

I feel you on that hoya imbricata, but, like, it's totally saveable and you have so many nodes that can root up in weeks. It'll be fine. Give it a moss pole once you're done and it'll root to that as well (just remember to water the pole when it's dry.)

I grow ferns - soak your Stag horn and change it from moss. Once that moss dries out, it repells water - really hard to rehydrate. Attach the Stag to a board of wood or even tree fern. It needs to be outside, let it be slightly moist, but not wet, and don't let it dry out.
Good luck! That sucks so much :(

I'd take your plant out of the wood thingie. Had several plants die on me in those, because it's just so hard to get the watering right in normally non-tropical household conditions. You also can't check the roots, so if there's anything wrong or there root pests you only notice them after it is too late.
