I'm 38 and have been working as an audio pro for 14 years across many genres. I would have not known how to achieve this sound. I love that I can still learn new things from really creative and smart audio guys. Super cool, Thanks for sharing!!!!!
thank you so much skybreak, you and your music is one of the reasons why i want to learn producing myself! your tutorials and songs are just so clean and inspirational for me (and many others)!
holy crap in the entire last 5 minutes of this video my mouth was just wide open in awe of this craziness ima have to use some of this as a good song starter
This tutorial is so interesting, I wish to have a decent PC and get enough money to purchase a fl studio I guess. Btw, you should to make more tutorials. You are an inspirational guy More than a good tutorial, man 👏👏👏👏👏
thse sound so pretty! thank you so much for sharing this, I will be having a lot of fun messing around with this. Convolution has truly unlimited uses. btw, how do you change your audio clips to be solid colored like that?
Click the little arrow icon on the top left of the arrangement view (or maybe its a tool icon i forgot) -> something like visuals or something -> behind cells -> solid
I hope you will make more videos like these, because they are very particular, I also liked the second part, where you give an example how to use these pads.
I love that technique. Automate fruity balance on it with an Envelope Controller from a synth track. Play some cool rhythm or even an arp with the synth and you got a choppy pad.
This is a big improvement compared what I used to do (edit) hmmm, the reese helps aswell, I had trouble mixing mine without it sounding to flat. So this might help.
Totally underestimated the power of convolvers until recently, tutorials like these inspire me so much. No more paulstretch for ambiences and pads.
thanks skybreak! now i can be skybreak!
