Great review! Got my LE in re and arrives in one week. So glad I got this over the Honda HRV and Subaru Crosstrek. I read pros and cons about this vehicle. Despite the negative comments, it's perfect for me, just one person so plenty of space. And road noise, I have bad road noise in my Civic. I test drove this car and it's no worse. You get what you pay for. If you want more power, leg room, and less noise, buy a more expensive vehicle. And I agree, if you're going to have people in the back seat on a regular basis, get a car with leg room.
Very practical review,thank you. I am older,don't have a lot of need for storage, I infrequently have backseat passengers,like smaller cars,and ABOVE ALL want to sit higher on the road to protect myself a little more from oncoming headlights! SUVs and pickups have enormous bright LEDs now and no one turns down their high beams anymore.
I was torn between RAV4 and this model (expecting a long wait either way) so this review was timely.
You are an awesome car reviewer!!! This helped me a lot. I put a deposit on one before watching this. I don't like that the back isn't flat when the seats are folded down. And I agree, Toyota should have put the armrest in the back.

I was looking into the 2nd Gen Honda hrv sport for awhile. I've been Toyota guy for years bc they're reliable, safe, and sturdy and easy to repair. Just RSVP 2023 Corolla cross LE in wind chill pearl aka sexy white awd. While the 2nd Gen hrv looks European and sexy, I choose the CC bc the 8 inch clearance, wireless charger, and longevity. You're right it does look like baby rav4

I really wished the Corolla cross had a bit more space in the back seat. I mean I am probably going to be driving it and I need armrest. How do the rear passengers not get that. Just unfair lol
Is there enough space for 2 child seats back there? Would the front passenger need to move up to fit one? Just trying to imagine how tight it would be. Thanks

I have the budget and bought thE Cross-AWD, one year owner it has been a great vehicle for around town, some camping. The Cross is a very well built simple long lasting small SUV, you cant compare this with the RAV4. I would pick the Subaru Outback way over the Rav4.
Comparison with the RAV4 is inevitable so that’s why I was saying if budget is not an issue then go for the RAV4. It is objectively a much better crossover.

Cypress Green, I think. I was on a wait list for an L trim in Cypress when Huntsville discontinued the color for L's. That said, I like the Sonic Silver I did buy.

I was all set to buy one of these and then I got afraid and back down to something else because I was seeing the people online we’re having issues with the car stopping in traffic and they weren’t able to turn it back on have you seen this?
That was a problem in the software for auto start stop. If you left it on (I always turn it off), when the windshield wiper is also going, it can result in the problem you describe. I had the software update installed at no cost under warranty. And newer Crosses no longer have the problem.

Haha for real, I keep saying this in every Toyota vehicle video I make.
I waited for an L in FWD, both of which I believe Huntsville makes fewer of. I got it for MSRP (+ stupid processing fee), so, a good price these days. But my wait was 6 1/2 months. Build kept moving. I'm pretty sure the plant prioritizes higher trims and AWD because the profit on them is more.

Dude literaly you get it wrong, if you are tall person 190+cm GET COROLA because it has way more space inside even more than landcruiser... Rav4 is literaly for very small family that has no tall family members... else you just gona hit head while sitting down and while driving..
I am literaly shocked why no body expose this toyota rav4 bulshit about interio space for taller people ?? i mean you CANT SIT as passanger if you are 190+cm tall your head gona hit ceiling, and you CANNOT ADJUST FRONT SEAT TO MAKE MORE HEADROOM... that is so stupid and was HUGE no for us, and we bought for the same money mitsubishi outlander phev .... that one has ok space and headroom.
