Sosha Udamikumari Shrine is located in Kamiyoshino, Otano, Uda City, Nara Prefecture.
Its official name is Yoshino Shikinai Sosha Uda-mikumari Jinja.
There are two other moisture shrines in Uda City: the Uta-mikumari shrine in Haibara-Shimo-Idani is called "Shimo-sha" and the Uta-mikumari shrine in Otano Koichijo is called "Naka-sha.
Both shrines are subordinate to the "Uta-mikumari Shrine," which is a shiki-uchi-no-sha.
The deities are Amamizumikami, Kunimizumikami, Hayakitsuhiko-no-mikoto, Amanokoge-no-mikoto, and Hondabetsu-no-mikoto.
The shrine was established here in the upper reaches of the Yoshino River (the source of the Yodo River) as a guardian deity of water in the Uda region, mainly in Asuka during the Yamato period.
The shrine is revered as the head shrine of a township (present-day Haibara-cho, Ouda-cho, and Otano-machi).
Location: 648 Kamiyoshino, Udano, Uda City, Nara Prefecture
