This is another movie just like "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" and "John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness". It combines both Science, Religion & Horror. Great score composed and conducted by Oscar winning composer John Corigliano.

Thats what you get when you combine director Ken Russell with writer Paddy Chayefsky. I read they were even too much for each other and did not agree much on the course of the production.
