I use base coat instead of top coat. It keeps the acrylic from running. And I’ve had issues where the top clear acrylic would split from the foil and bottom acrylic.
That’s so smart! I didn’t even think about that, and that’s so weird!! And yet people think doing nails is an easy job😭

As a newbie to this, I appreciate hearing and seeing issues that pop up so I can know how to fix it or in this case, it wasn’t something I was doing wrong but more like the product wasn’t performing which is something I appreciate knowing now. Great video.

Yes I always topcoat because girl I ruined my set one time because I didn't know to do the topcoat first and it totally ate the whole dang foil off lol 😅 🙃 😆 so yes I always cap topcoat over the foil first. And girl these nails are freaking 🔥
You do have to always topcoat over Foil as the monomer will eat right through it & melt it. Love the video boo, tfs luv ❤️ ❤️or basecoat that might actually be better.

You can definitely use top coat or base coat over the foil before Acrylic 😁😁 I prefer a base coat.. the nails are super gorgeous 😍 💜

Hi, hopefully you see this comment. To things can cause your acrylic to be runny.
1. It means you have to much liquid on your brush and you liquid to powder ratio is off.
2. temperatures affect acrylics as well. for example cool or cold air it makes acrylic runny and if its to hot or warm temps, your acrylic will dry very fast. be carefully with liquids that are cool or heat from your light. As a nails techs we all love light, sometimes a little to much lol.

I don’t like Valentino consistency either but I love young nails so I mix a little young nails clear in it and I like a lot better.

When I applied acrylic over foil it caused the ink on the foil to run, now I use base coat before encapping the foil to avoid it being too slippery when I ombré the nude.

girl when I was doing a client's nails, I forgot to put the topcoat on the foil and it started smudging the color. I started fading it, the way acetone gets rid of nail polish.
Try to use Anacrylics her dip powders r not runny at all!
First I love the nails but for me I've been using valentino for almost 2 years now and that's all I use has acrylic since I started and I can tell you I've never have any running and the blend is the best omber you could ever get and am all the way in Jamaica so it's hot here most of the time

i like valentino cover powders but it definitely does dry really fast i have to work with smaller beads because if i don’t it starts drying beforei can even drag it down the nail all the way
If you put a top cot over the foil maybe try and buff the top coat to it’s a rough surface that my work a little better

Application process was a little runny as you said, but the end result.. Girl, fire! Even the glitter nail combined beautifully. I think think video length was perfect, but I wouldn't mind watching if it was a bit longer.

Girl the application was great! Smooth af! But what monomer were you using? With certain acrylic powders, you have to use the same brand of monomer as well. That could of been why the Valentino was so runny. Nails look bomb as always! Glad I found your page!

When I done foil I didn’t top coat mines and for a strange reason it ended up snapping only the bit that had foil and was capped but it was completely chipped other than that all the nails including the ones with foil remained on
