Very informative video! Thank you so much! Side note: I saw that John Wyane film as a kid and the ending with the lady that drown tramatized me. I have spent YEARS trying to recall what film it was a find it again and, thanks to this video, I was able to finally do so and watch that scene again! I can't believe I solved that decades old mystery randomly from a video about diving history! 😂
Friend, can you help me out with understanding the difference between the old standard diving dress and old ADS? Is standard diving dress just less pressure proof? Or is it inflated only partially? Also what was the max depth of Augustus's Siebe diving suit? Would be also gratefull if you linked the sources for the vid
Thanks for the question. Most of the clips I got from (The History of DIving) a 2 part series made available from the British Historical Diving Society. I could not find a link to them, but I did find an interesting link to some historic footage that you may also find helpful: za.pinterest.com/urmaddad/great-links-to-diving-history-films-and-videos/. Kind regards, Frans Cronje

im trying to look up the history of bell diving and we have a whole entire department of the military devoted to it and yet the entirety is a complete mystery.. literally nothing on the topic... the whole entire history...

@1:56 I'm sorry but you are wrong. The first pic on the left are Assyrian divers and not Persian. You cannot find any tabelts of Persian divers or art work of Persian divers.
