- The Ho-229 is War Thunder's UFO, and always has been since it was added in 2014. While it is incredibly agile, it struggles with yaw, as it lacks a rudder. In this video, I give the old gal a go as I try to become an ace in a match.

Don't listen to the other peoples. this plane is great, I killed the entire enemy team with it. you need to know how to play it.
I wish they’d add more of these Prototype, and even paper planes to the game, those late war designs were just so cool

Planes like this are what keep me playing, it's not a perfect plane, you cant just no skill dunk on people.
But damn is it fun to fly.
This is the plan that got me in to the German line of aircraft. One of my favourite planes ever. Still need to get it in game. I get so easily derailed! But at least I am getting in the early jet age with Germany now.
Ah yeah but they selectively enforce their 'no paper' BS for 'historic accuracy' while allowing it for certain nation these days, simultaneously nerfing German 15-37mm HVAP from its historic AT role, with the De Marre nerf, amongst other BS moves.
WT is so unrealistic it hurts (in RB/AB, they are same to me in many ways), so adding e.g. Panther 2 or some esoteric Japanese plane means nothing. They were plausible in many ways with tech at the time and thus were designed or mostly designed for a reason. edit: inb4 Muh Panther II gun wouldn't fit, yes, but they could easily redesign a turret for that lol.

Yeah like how they handle momentum with guns is pretty odd compaired to DCS, Il2, Acecombat, and really most other fight sims/games.

Operation Barbarossa was actually compromised by Franz Halder from the beginning because he went against Hitler's directive for the operation. Hitler actually wanted Army Group South to be the main thrust so that it could seize the economic centers of the Soviet Union. And the Soviets had actually anticipated this as well, amassing most of their army in the Southern sectors before and during the invasion. But Halder thought it would be better to basically redo what they did with France and race to the capital city.
Hitler didn't find out about it until the operation already commenced and he was furious. Operation Fall Blau was actually a reorganization of Hitler's original initiative, although with much less man and material by that time. I think that realistically had Halder not went against the original plan that there would have been much more success for the Germans because Lend Lease wouldn't have been enough to keep the Soviets running, especially if they had managed to capture the Gronzy and Mykop region, which was vital to Russias fuel production. The Germans could've just focused on holding the South and basically starved the Soviet Union economically.
Also, the production of the Tiger and Panther tank was actually hinged on the assumption that they would've captured this region and been able to use the oil from it to fuel the larger tanks.
Very interesting! I appreciate the comment. This is more in depth than many other things I've read about German decision making during the initial invasion of the Soviet Union.

@@mindfreak078589 I second this recommendation. Absolutely fantastic historian. Somewhat of a controversial one too, because he keeps disproving ideological motivations for random events in ww2 and points out the nazis weren't mustache twirling bumbling villains. They were evil geniuses. It's ironic, that makes them so much more evil but weirdos and tankies are endlessly fuming about it.
The BV 155 is interesting as well. But yeah the flying dorito is one of the planes that I really want to get.
Packetloss like that happens to me every once in a while but ever since the latest patch it's been happening a TON on the server-side. Especially in tanks where people can't spawn and can't move due to rubber-banding. With Gaijin, the servers are never "fixed".
When you're talking about the possible Me262 models, is it the ones with the higher angle swept wings that were in the planned air tree years ago? I wish those were added too but i think gaijin has already said those are not coming anymore cause they were not made
The HG series, yes. The HG 2 and 3 had more wing sweep, but the HG 1 did not. I know the HG 1 was built and flown, with conflicting reports stating that the HG 2 was built, though likely not flown. Other planes, like the Bf-109Z, were built and not flown, but Gaijin changes their minds on so many things so often. Having the HG 1 in game would make me incredibly happy, with the HG 2 being an incredible bonus.
Gaijin won't make them until they need a new plane to monetize....
If they come they come as premiums probably which sucks. IF
they will do as they did with the Su series. make them the same br, HG I will be tech tree, HG II will be premium

@@theredcoat_menace back then it got full HVAP belts, now its AP API AP HEI. And dont forget the auto cannon nerf form 94mm to 77mm

Honestly, if I'm really worried about CAS, (like on a spawn with each team having a close capture point) I just spawn in a SPAA first and get rid of the problem children first. Especially as the Germans I swear every allied player has 2 planes in their line up. But I mean I don't think that solves the fundamental issue that it's usually a pressure valve for revenge kills.

I would have rathered a 262 HG series jet over this but it's still very special to be able to fly it in war thunder
This is my fav plane in warthunder, so far I'm literally barely getting out of tier 4 Germany and the first jet I'm going to be able to research is this cuz I don't have the he177 or the ta152. I did finish researching the do335 and just need some sl to buy it. Once I buy the do335 and a fw190 D then I'll be able to get it

Also, you are incorrect in saying that this wasn't a stealth fighter, it was an accident yes, but the paint was wood based and actually reduced the radar cross section by a lot, which would have practically made it invisible to allied fighters in WW2
How does the point system in the game work? I'm playing Ground Arcade Battles. We had a 7000 point lead and lost. We have 2 cap points and we lose 1 for 1-2 minutes and now we're losing. How does this jeep happening?

I love hunting these things in my 6.0 corsair, most pilots think just because they're in a jet they'll beat me, well, bud, I used to have to use that corsair at 10.0 because I started the air tech tree late, an early jet is nothing

@@iampurechaos In a corsair I can counter them, even if I'm on the brink of stalling all the time. But I still can do shit if I'm in a p47 or 51, I haven't played those near as much as I have my f4ub, as I basically grinded naval all the way to 6.0 so I had a few planes for my line up, I only caught up recently and am now at 8.3 or 9.7 for aircraft types. And about tho get the last bomber

i remember when i first got this plane , i've played a few games with it and it was the worst experience i ever got with a plane
They changed the M103k fire rate from 350 to 450
This plane has such an insane turn rate its almost unfair

As much as I love Tankenstein I just cannot agree that Germany needs more early jets.
Difference between the US P80 and F80 jets. One has wep, the other doesnt. Thats all i could find. Because I won both in game.

Packet loss always make me crash into the ground and stuff the only way I can counter it is by controlling the the bomber turrets but other than that the ground acts like a magnet
Don‘t turn that quickly with the ho 229, that is how you lose all of your energy and die. Sideclimb and take out the f84s and su-11

All the wonder weapons in the world cant save a country fighting a war on 3 separate fronts at one time. Maybe if they wouldve actually focused most or all of their resources taking over one nation at a time and bolstered their allies weaponry as well as their own weapons and focused more on things such as their proven platforms instead of dumping resources into wonder weapons to try to rescue themselves from a massive multifront war things wouldve went differently for Germany but they weren't focused and thought they were unstoppable. Over extended and streched thin they had no hope of winning the war especially when one of their allies abandoned them and their other was half way across the world and facing their own issues during the mid to late war

@@Tankenstein gaijnoob say they don't do paper planes, but hey in March 1945 they said it would be ready to fly in May or June, the company was captured in April. 16 prototypes were made, surely there's enough data to build an accurate flight model. Especially since the Mig15 is already in WT. and it's basically the same plane.

The spars might have been, no idea, but the wings and fuselage are at the Udvar Hazy Center outpost of the air and space museum, I've seen them several times and it looks like it's made of metal. The paint is in a bad state sadly, it's next on the list for restoration when they finish the B-26 they're working on. They also have a do-335, the nazi jet bomber, and a bunch more. They even have the only surviving piece of the Kikka.
Oh, plus they have the space shuttle and the Enola gay. It's gotta be the best air museum out there.

About what ifs yes their are really dumb ones and yes Germany would have had a hard time getting a total victory in WW2 even with one thing changed. But the things to remember is Gemrany lost mostly do to making a ton of mistakes and going starting WW2 to quickly... However their bigest mistake was decaling war on absolutely everybody namely the US and Soveit Union... As remember they almost beat the UK if it was not for the hard headedness of Churchill(That could easly not have been.) And the Soviets for Hitler not declaring war on the US... As I don't think the Commonwealth could have D-dayed all by themshelves and the Soviets were falling apart even with lendlease... Also rember they could have had nukes if they acaully tried but Nukes back then were not he dooms day weapons of today in fact Tokyo looked as bad as Hyroshima on the same day after it was nuked...
