I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

You forgot the defense unit and scout I’ve seen them
I love how for the final map they just say ‘fuck it’ and put literally everything on it even if it doesn’t fit the biome
kind of makes me sad that the bloodstalkers don't have any trees and the managarmrs don't have an ice biome, it kind of feels last minute

It really feels like a celebration of all of ARK 1 (minus some exceptions). I was kind of worried that some creatures would've never gotten to be seen outside their respective maps but in comes Genesis 2 with a huge map and a huge variety of creatures.
I was afraid reaper queens will be on abb only until i saw this and of course the extinction dinos being here is great
Yeah I was disappointed when I found out there were only Reaper Kings on Gen 1. I'm really happy that the Queens as well as Gasbags, Enforcers, Velonasaurs and Snow Owls are in Gen2. Also cool that the Thyla has a variant although tbh I prefer the vanilla Thyla

Void wyvern eggs should work for taming the basilisk

At least, extinction still has MEK and three titans that other maps don't exist to get, even the MEK might not be useful comparing with EXO MEK in genesis 2.
@Wills Animations and Games I mean MEK blue print instead engram, I know all regular engrams can be learned in genesis 2, but the original MEK is quite useless. The only use of the original one is to tame titanosaur but there's no titanosaur in genesis 2.
Honestly thank you so much I wasted two and a half days of actual 24hr periods looking for a blood stalker in the Eden zone I'm so glad someone finally made a video on this stuff it helps alot
Why nobody is talking about the "zombie" animals that apear inside rockwell when a summoner spot you? I already Saw even a golem and quetzal zombified
Yeah I was excited while fighting one I saw a zombies reaper queen and I was gonna do the ex tame strat but you can't tame them or anything like that sadly

Something of note actually. The Summoner is able to summon any random creature from the whole map, and what they spawn is tameable, so IN THEORY, if you were able to trap a Summoner, you could wait and 'farm' for a Griffin spawn or something else not normally obtainable
[EDIT] After extensive testing, it was a bug involving tricks and exploits with a Nogglin that let creatures stay after being summoned and made it default to a creature that was tameable. That has since been removed unfortunately.
You can't tame the creatures it spawns tho mate?
@@Raasclark I have heard rumors that the creatures it spawns can after its been killed, however I dont know of anyone that has tested it. I might later today to find out myself for certain, and if that is a case I hope its an intended feature and not something thatll get patched. I would LOVE to finally have griffins on the story maps. Even if it takes a colossal effort to get one.

When every creature but your 2 favorites spawns on genesis 2
I used dino scanner to check all creatures in genesis 2 then I think there are at least 28 "tameable forms" of creatures not existing in this map(not including non-existing Unicorn as it's same as R-Equus in Genesis 2):
8 Primary creatures: Megalosaurus, Titanosaur, Dung Beetle, Giant Bee, Kairuku(penguin), Megalania, Onyc and Pelagornis(long wing bird).
7 Unoffical DLC creatures: Griffin, Ice wyvern, Deinonychus, Tropeognathus(what it can do that Astrodelphis also can do much better and has much more functions than it) and 3 varieties of crystal wyverns.
13 Offical DLC creatures: Phoenix, Morellatops(camel), Lighting, Poison, Fire wyvern, Rock drake, Blue print MEK, Forest, Ice, Desert titan, Magmasaur, Megachelon and TEK Triceratop.
Also, 2 valuable creatures: Deathworm and Nameless(Nameless Venom can be used as high quality food or medical pack for Rock drake) are not existing in genesis 2. But without Deathworm Horn, how to tame Mantis without using transmitter?
Genesis 2 is honestly the best dlc they’ve given us they went all out

man wildcard must really hate the rock drake. they've removed it from any mod map that had them and it's pretty much the last aberration creature just stuck on that map
They have to give people a reason to still get the old dlc. It’s the same case for the Phoenix only being on scorched.
they destroyed rock drakes with this dlc.. its invisibility went to shadowmanes and gliding to maewings. climbing? megalania and enforcer. There would be nothing special about rockdrake except the fact that it has all the features combined but even then the other dinos are better with those traits. rock drake was only so good because it was built for abberation and all its walls.

@@ursiibear its still the only one capable of doing it all and it can glide on top of being a good swimmer, not to mention you cant move as fast when invis with a shadowmane so nah I'd say theyre still holding strong
If this map had wyvern eggs or magmasaur/rockdrake eggs, this map would truly be the ultimate map though...... it already is
I hope wild card does a little update that will add the wyvern, rockdrake and magmasaur or at least add a free map with all dlc creatures including the ones from vangaro and crystal isle
There are rock drake eggs there on a meteor under the bridges in the space zone

@@joshualisojo4832 yeah that will never happen. The wyvern rock drakes and magma don’t fit the gen 2 map at all. And a free map with all dlc creatures won’t happen either. Wildcard need to make money and making certain creatures dlc specific brings in money for them. I Can’t even blame them for doing that.

I love how you posted this literally as I was telling my brother (we both play ark) about how I'd done my research and there were less dlc creatures that aren't in gen 2 than creatures that are (dunno if I'm making sense lol). Kinda crazy honestly 😂

I'm really surprised that every extinction creature made it onto genesis part 2, normally they at least leave one or two creatures that are unique to their respective DLC so you have a reason to go back there, but they just went ahead and ported every tame from extinction. It's nice, because the levels are always painfully low on those official maps, but it does take something away from the map. It still has the titans and the gauntlet style defense missions though, so it's more than capable of fending for itself, unlike scorched earth, it got completely nuked when ragnarok came out
At least we still have our Phoenix 😔

I think all tameable extinction creatures are here which is insane
They changed tek helmet toggling on consoles , it’s holding X and square now. Before you couldn’t toggle if there was a plant at your feet.
Yesss now there is no need to die in the wasteland of extinction and die in Rockwell garden trying to get a mana

Once i saw shinehorns were on this map i instantly went to go tame one
I wad hoping for a show in the light of the summoners
So to recap, the only tames that aren’t available are the rock drake and the magmasaur, which means that the only tameable story map creatures not found in either Genesis map are the rock drake and the Phoenix. WHY WILDCARD??? I guess the morelatops isn’t on here either (weird choice, but ok I guess).
And I know extinction is redundant now, but it’s my favorite map. :(

alr so rock drake actually spawn in the space biome, when hyper space ends there is a chance u will get a rock drake biome which is where u get eggs from

Probably because they'll add the rock drake magmasaur and griffon back soon once they find a good spawn point for all three no I haven't played the DLC but I've heard of people getting magmasaur saddles

So... rock drakes do spawn on Gen 2. The watchers in Rockwell's innards can spawn them on top of you.
Now... is is possible, if those drakes are left alone that they'll produce an egg? After running around in the place, I can definitely see some areas where drakes may lay their eggs.
i like that the genesis creatures spawn, but it doesnt make sense because they are programmed for a simulation
I think those where a simulation of those creatures. Just because there where in a simulation doesn't mean they don't exist.
They could either exist in reality, or the simulation can actually just create them in reality as well. I mean we can just clone dinos with ease. Plus everything on the arks dinos were just created base off of real dinosaurs but heavily edited to be useful.
Also in this game you respawn because it's actually plot, not just game logic so...

So how exactly do I tame a karkinos when it’s underwater. I’ve only ever knocked one while it was on land.

ark gen2 was just ruined a few minutes ago, they disabled tek punch and tek leg boost completely... this means even as a late game player you no longer can move infinite weight because it seemingly applies to actual tek not just exo suit. before I saw it becoming my main map, however now I see no reason to play aside from do the boss and get all the cool tames then go back to extinction
edit: half the reason I barely play gen1 is because of no flyers and no tek suit also
and then they patched it about an hour after they ruined it

Have yet to see the Bulbpup or Ferox just figured my puppy farm wasn't going to happen . . . and um well I forgot about the other thing. Seen way to many of the others listed though, minus the Gacha only seen three and all three died. . . RIP

this is one of the best maps, from the creatures, to the map. its a well rounded map. i love how it includes all the dlc creatures. really closes ark 1 great.

Thank the arks that we are blessed with the humble grace that is raasclark, i search far and wide, even delving into the lands of the wiki, and found barely any usefulness from it, but then i clicked this video (which i swear i watched before, but seems i accidentally skipped it) and it was a god sent, for example, i looked all over the area the wiki said feroxes spawn, n only found jerboas, then i went to the lake, and instantly found 2 females

I guess the val dino extinction mod adds them to the low gravity area. Hint hints for ark energy.
