AA is so brutal, yet graceful, funny and fun to watch. Love his skating so much. He’s definitely going to be associated with this spot forever, along with Spanky.
Andrew Allen is sick, I’ve always really liked his skating- even more in the last 10 years or so where he’s mellowed out but still keeps it so interesting.
My first time going to L.A. High was in '98 taking the Metro from Long Beach to DTLA. My homies mainly went for the handrail. I crooked it sketch it was about waist high and I'm 6'4 but mellow. I am a ledge skater. I still trip out Guy switch shuv crookon the rail in '95. Way ahead of his time. Yet, my favorite was outside skating the ledges. It went down hill a bit so even with the bricks on a clean day it went smooth with no push up depending on what side. The big banks I still don't get the gnarly stuff that has went down on them. The outside ones were butter and this is obviously way before they changed the front of the school adding the stairs. I still love going there and J-Kwon. Also, I'll never forget that first day ans watching Robbie McKinley killing it with his classic steez. QS another banger! I enjoy the spot checks like the old days watching 411. My first ever skate video was "Welcome to Hell" and 411 VM issue #15. Keep it going strong Quarter Snacks!
when i clicked on this i saw the runtime and thought "ah shit maybe i dont care enough to watch this" but i got hooked and now i wish this one segment was 3 hours long haha
A.A is fuckin everything. slam. makes. pain. joy. effort. insight. stance. perseverance. style. fuck man there is not much people like this (even outside of skateboarding) PLUS the creativity/approach to things is UNIQUE. this makes me love skateboarding even more :) !
I totally agree it's not about what you can't do, it's about what you can do. Don't stop not stopping. With life gets me down I just Ollie little higher.
Im gonna trust is word on it, but the ground looks perfect. I dont get how he can complan about that. I love thightly placed polished bricks like that. Its rolls forever.
These are the best videos on the internet

Jerry’s tricks all looked so stylish! Met him once at a skatepark in LA and sheepishly asked him if I could get a fist bump 😅
I went up to him at a demo in Austin and said, "Jerry, Jerry, Jerry Hsu, can we get a picture with you?"
He was p cool about it

Awesome video. I only skated these banks once around 2000. Definitely not easy to skate but they did grind a lot better than I expected.
I totally agree it's not about what you can't do, it's about what you can do. Don't stop not stopping. With life gets me down I just Ollie little higher.
