i knew teletubbies was tokusatsu!! The Reused footage The Overabundance of goofy ahh CGI The Teletubbies are color coded IT ALL MAKES SENSE My only gripe with this adaptation was that the tubbies didn't form Noo-Ren-Oh like the did in Antena Sentai Teletubbger
It's a real shame Teletubbger Black never made it to the international versions of the series. He was the best part. Though I guess he may have been a bit more violent than the target audience would've been comfortable with
I was so happy knowing that i wasn't the only one that absolutely loved Teletubbies next to Barney & Friends of course growing up and also enjoyed the new Netflix show since they kept everything everyone loved about the original one on CBeebies/PBS Kids. They're all so underrated.
Weird/fun/obscure fact: the movie The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure, it was originally supposed to be a Teletubies movie but the creator of TeleTubies wouldn’t let it happen so Matthew Diamond the Director of Oogieloves loosely based on my bedbugs another suit costume based show
You have unlock a core memory with me; the show was made the year I was born, thanks for sharing your report from your new subscriber, and have a great day! 😇🥰😍🥰😇
I respect you for your unapologetic love for this stuff. Me, I hate these little weirdos, and always will, but I respect you for being transparent about your love for them. Call them tokusatsu again though, and I'm coming for that fade, though.
suit actors are on another level. i could not image filming in that big ass suit??? outside in that muggy ass weather??? like i don’t even think they had seats built into their costumes until season 2😭
Here's one show that I love and still love today, BRUM is a model t styled car that drives around town and stops crooks, called baddies. This was only the 3rd season, season 1,2 had brum go on adventure, BRUM is my tokusatsu, like a yellow kamen rider, on a quest to stop the evil baddies taking over.
When I was a kid, I cried whenever Teletubbies was over; whenever they showed the "Tubby Bye-Bye" segment and the emotional piano music started playing and showed the sunset, I would cry like I never cried before Good thing I never saw THIS version of the ending from the exercise video as a kid, it would have DESTROYED me as a kid [and yes, this from the American dub that aired on PBS Kids] ruclips.net/video/8LWVJTxvF1g/видео.html
The reasons why I was upset go further beyond the emotional music and visuals; I cried because I wasn't ready for the show to be over, I wasn't ready to leave Teletubbyland and the Teletubbies I had connected with so much from there lol
@@HedgeOnStageyeah that my bad… i’m just so surprising. You’re actually talking about the show here because I love this show when I was little this was my childhood
Are the Teletubbies Kaijin? Probably depends on if you count characters like Doggie Kruger or Hazardian Dappu, but I could see a hero opening up a sanctuary for good-hearted Kaijin similar to Teletubby land.
I mean they…they did..give it a reboot from what little I’ve seen of it they remained faithful to the original material that’s probably why many didn’t notice it happened, bc it wasn’t bad LOL

oh wow!
@@HedgeOnStage
Tellitubbies shouldn't count as they do not fight.
you spelled it wrong and don’t have the best understanding of what tokusatsu is if you believe fighting is a requirement lmao
@@HedgeOnStage
I mean a lot of them do.
The "hi doggie" bit KILLED ME AHAHAHA not a "The Room" reference in a Hedge video
LOL keep ya on ya toes!!
While I never bothered too much with teletubbies, I do remember watching a few videos of its controversies. It also had a reboot around the mid 2010s.
I would never expect to see a Teletubbies vid from you Hedge, but I loved it 😂
LOLLLL expect the unexpected!!!

and the best kind of brain rot lmao
Something about this video screams “filler episode” but like in the best way possible and I love it🤣🤣🤣
no one could’ve ever expected such a detour
🎵"We're talking Teletubbies" 🎵 That theme song just goes so hard especially now with that funk like bass it plays in the background😁

I watched both Teletubbies and Barney growing up as a kid as both shows aired on my local PBS station.
omg the "do the same thing again" edits took me out lmaoooo
7 seconds in, INSTANTLY sold on this
!!!!
I’m early but I used to love the Teletubies as a kid and Barney and Friends.
I LOVE THEM STILL AS WELL!!!! 🥹🥹🥹🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

LMAOOO WE GOTTA DO BRUM
I HAD ONE GROWING UP
I always loved both Barney and Teletubbies basically my whole life, along with a lot of other shows, such as Blue's Clues and The Wiggles.
That house puppet scene scared me too.
I've been watching your videos for awhile and I just forgot to subscribe. So congrats. You got a sub with this video 😅
ppreciate ya!!!! 🌈
Loved this show
it’s a good’un
I thought teletubbies looked like Carranger’s mentor.
This was my show I owned lot of merch from the show 🥺 & of course now I'm 24 for almost a month and this made me cry
😭😭😭
now for the question,, is lazy town tokusatsu
we might gotta look into this 🤔
If you are talking about teletubbies weird/spooky parts, we have to remember the lion vs bear episode
La-La was my favorite teletubby when I was a kid

If you're saying Teletubbies is Tokusatsu then Boobah is Tokusatsu as well

YAAAAAA
Teletubbies is my childhood!! Along with Boohbah!!
Interesting fact, the costumes of the Teletubbies actually weighed 12 feet so they’re actually pretty taller than Barney
@higbeeproductions2340 I think you mean they are 12 ft “in height” , not weight.
They’re actually around 8-10 ft tall
@@HedgeOnStageyeah that my bad… i’m just so surprising. You’re actually talking about the show here because I love this show when I was little this was my childhood
@@HedgeOnStage Wow
Sorry, I keep commenting, but it’s funny how you mentioned Boohbah at the end Because they’re both created by the same creator from the same company
I was cooking and was so thrown off by the intro I dropped my knife
Because it's fucking true and I didn't even consider it

I used to have a dog that ate everything off the floor and we gave her the nickname noo-noo XD
I love thattttt 😭
The live action Thomas the Tank Engine movie is also Toku
SHSHDH
Actually, Teletubbies and Boohbah were made by Ragdoll.
The Muppets. Are American originated!!🤣🤣
It would add variety to your videos!

they would’ve fit right in with the aliens you’d see roaming in SPD
Would this imply that Blue's Clues is technically Tokusatsu as well?
They didn’t give this show a reboot, yet a tank engine and a guy with talking vehicles does?
