  • This is a tutorial on how to do a needle tatting Zig Zag stitch. In the video I said it was Jack's knot but one someone pointed something out to me so for this reason I change the title.

    I learned this stitch many years ago when I learned to shuttle tat as a Victorian Set. My experience is that this would be a Victorian Set 2 x 2. I had forgotten it. Now that I am needle tatting more often I will revisit it. Thanks!

    I love it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I’m from Decatur, Alabama and it’s been a mad house in the stores. I’m thankful I went two days before it all started happening but this information was given to me by my neighbors. I’m 65 and they go to the store for me if I need anything. My neighbor said he bought the last two loaves of bread and two men followed him all the way to his truck . It just so happens he always carries so they left him alone. That really scared me. I’m praying for this to be over very soon because it will get ugly fast if it doesn’t. So I say to everyone to pray pray pray.

Certain food items are hard to find in market. Cinemas, malls are closed. As well as wedding halls. Stay strong..stay healthy. God bless all of us.

    I’m watching your video and liking what I see....but being a novice, I’m unsure how to use it in the pattern...so, do I make the pattern as usual in counting stitches and just make it with the new stitch? Guess I will have to do trial and error till you post us a tutorial. Glad to see you back !

      In patterns and books already published, it is a technique called Victorian Set, or Rick Rack, or Zig Zag, or Node Stitch. In patterns you can see it noted something like: Victorian Sets 2x2 (which is what is done in this video. 2 half stitches one direction, 2 half stitches the other direction) and you can have any number of stitches to achieve that zig zag look.

    Espero que pronto podamos volver a la normalidad y disfrurar de la vida como lo hemos hecho siempre. Cuídate mucho y, Dios bendiga a todos. 🙏🙏

    I just want to say this stitch has been around for a long time - it's not new. It's already got at least 4 names - seen in many books as Victorian Sets, or Zig Zag stitch, or Rick Rack, or Node Stitch.
    I just thought I'd mention that - we don't need to be confused with another new name.
    If a pattern says "JK", that is the common abbreviation for "Josephine Knot" - a different technique.

      @MariaPapia  4 года назад +2

      Thank you for the info. I will let my subscribers know about this on my next tutorial. I can see how you can get confused on a pattern with Jack's knot and Josephine's knots
