The oranges you mentioned are NOT oranges but bitter oranges / bigarade oranges..! If they were oranges, they wouldn't have stayed on the trees. Orange trees are grown in the fields and their fruits are like honey.
10:10 These Greek wines are made for and are excellent to accompany food, not to have just a drink. Prior the eating start, they don't taste good. For food, the "white" wines are more easy to go than "reds". But in any case, if you are not familiar with, avoid the "white" type which is called "Retsina".
2:50 It’s time to drink what the ancients had as refreshments, most of these drinks were dairy products. Now there are some of the same type in Greece, or exact the same like "xinogalo" (this is a type of milk not a brand) or "ariani" which is a product name, not sweet, not bitter, slightly sour, but you could taste it while in a place like this, even once to just get the experience. Another idea for such an experience is the "Greek iced mountain tea", by Olimpos for example, personally I like the lemon flavor version.
I was in Delphi 20yrs ago. The town of Arachova was as busy as Mykonos in the summer. I don't know what month you were there, but I can't imagine it being that slow.
@@JimmyTheGreek2000 what are you talking about?? Its simple..you were visiting Delphi and you called it Parthenon! Different names , different places....
Arachova is getting lively and is being overwhelmed through the winter months!

@@JacobgribbinThey aren't orange trees but bitter orange trees. So aren't for food
3:50 I was lucky, back in 80's as a student, that I sat on an ancient tier up there during a school visit. It was free to do so then.
thank you! Appreciate it!
Such a great end to the trip. I think about those crepes every day 😁
Arachova is the Mykonos of winter, mostly for Athens citizens because it has the closest ski center to the capital...
it was a beautiful town! I hope to go back one day!

02:28 Parthenon ? Don't you mean Delphi ?
It is no bad ... There are those who confuse the Parthenon (in Athens, Greece) with the Pantheon in Paris, France.
