Hi I’m from the UK, I’ve been looking into setting up my own vinyl system. I’ve decided to go with the simple active powered speaker setup and thought of connecting a Fluance RT85 Turntable > Rega Fono MM MK3 Phono Stage > HiVi Swans D300 Stereo Active Speakers. I wondered what are your thoughts on that setup? and whether it would work? I’ve considered the impedance and wattage of the items, but had no luck in finding the specs for them. My last point of call wold be to contact the companies themselves, but as I’ve watched many of your videos and are very knowledgeable in the subject, I figured that you could possibly help me lol. Any advice or information will be most appreciated. Thank you James
hey jarrett! i discovered your channel when i was getting into vinyl early january 2022 and i love your content! im saving up for an lp120xusb and i had a couple of questions. i used a carbon fiber brush on one of my records and noticed there were alot of hairline scratches which were noticable under light, kinda ruined the record in terms of looks, i was wondering if this was normal to see and all that. i also picked up a sealed copy of tame impalas currents vinyl and when i took it out of the sleeve there were many hairline scratches going vertically over the grooves. was wondering if that was normal as well.
