Great job boss. I appreciate the time lapse.
Love the look ,proportions are perfect . No question one of the best videos on mantel . Actually wish you would have slowed it down . And maybe added a list of the trim you used . Yes ,I'm a lazy ass who doesn't like to do research . I think you gave enough info ,to try to build this . Thank you ,for the inspiration .
very nice job. show it after painting
genial
This is one of the better-proportioned mantles on RUclips. Well done. I wish you had shown it painted at the end.
Thanks, yeah I never got to see it after painting either. But I probably have a bunch of finished mantel pictures on my website if you want to see more. www.tg-woodworking.com
Wow 👍🏽 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Master!🙏🏾 I do finish work, I would love to see an up close of your work. Congratulations
Thanks Jose! Be sure to check out my newer videos too - ruclips.net/video/fSti_NYbQek/видео.html
kr que trabalho perfeito muito bonito perabens.
Obrigado! Hope that's right :) Thanks!
that's a nice looking mantel good job one thing I would suggest though is to pre assemble it and then set it on to the wall on to your nailers screw it into the sides trim screaws that way if ever you wanted to take it off you dont have to disassemble it
Billyjack Strong Thanks. I agree, if I were building it for myself, I might do that, but this was installed in a new custom home for a client.
Professional job ,we’re thinking to do the same in our house if u could plz give us details of all the material we need with the measurements I’ll be really thankful
Thanks, but I don't have time to do that for you. It's mainly built of poplar and MDF
Awesome job, but wait, did you paint or stain? I want to see the 'finished product'. thanks
Thanks, this was for a client, and they had hired painters to finish it off, and I never got to see the final product. I just heard it was painted white.
Oh okay, thanks for the update. At first I did not now you were a pro, and now will go to your website. You sure made it look easy!!! Excellent time lapse! That would have taken me 3 months to do that, after working full time. God bless you. You know Jesus was a carpenter!
What size nails did you use for this? Really nice job!
Thanks! Mostly 1 1/4" 18 gauge brad nails. For anything attached to the wall, I used 2" or 2 1/2" 16 gauge, plus the liquid nails.
nice work mate, are you gonna cover up those bradnails?
Thanks. Yes, there will be a paint crew that will be finishing it. Since I'm not responsible for the finish, I figured I would just post the video before it is painted.
Nice short video. What finish?
It will most likely be painted white
1:14 glue bottles on top of mantel moves on it’s own 😳
😂 luckily I made it out of there alive!
How much did you charge? Nice, video
I don't remember, as this was a while ago, and materials and labor have gone up a lot. Back then, I would guess like $1200-1500? Thanks for watching though
This is very nice - what kind of trim is that where the apron sits on top of the posts? Is that some type of
Alexandria molding or more of a cove type mold?
Yeah, some sort of alexandria type, don't remember, it's been so long. Thanks
I see nothing fair or simple about this video!smdh!
It's just a demonstration of how most mantels are built in place. Someday I may make a more instructional video
