I can remember my first vehicle in the late sixties was manual or three on the tree shifter. My current Jeep is a 2003 Wrangler 5 speed manual.

These are a rarity. My daughter owns a Gecko Green manual 2021 2-door Wrangler Sport, one 1 of 8 JLs made like that.

Love my 2024 2 door manual high vilocity yellow willys. I too have found the clutch to feel strange. It is ok but it looks like the aftermarket clutch and flywheel kits solve the problem with adding more weight to the flywheel. Love to see a two door on the channel. Maybe one I'm ready I'll hope across bc ferries and have a lift installed. Thanks for the videos

You can get the 2-door Rubicon with the manual 6-speed AND 4.88 gears. Do you feel like that would work really well with 35's or 37's tires?
That would work great for both but with this transmission and 37s I personally may consider 5.13s

Works perfect with 35s. I can use the 6th gear which wasn't possible with the JK. Regearing might be necessary for 37s.
But be aware that there's a clutch recall. The clutch blew up on a lot of Jeeps starting with the 2018 models probably all the way up to the 2023 Jeeps. Jeep has finally a fix for it and I will get a new clutch/transmission combo at some point. Unfortunately this will be my 3rd clutch/transmission then since my 21 Jeep was one of the Jeeps where the clutch exploded. And if I say 'exploded' I mean EXPLODED. I luckily carried a fire extinguisher and was able to put the fire out. The clutch wheel just smashed through the housing.. 😂

Yeah, those stock sliders are junk. Ask me how I know. I have 6 speed JL, but Jeep needs to put some more effort into their modern manual.

How does the manual feel? Do your knuckles bump your hazards/temperature controls when shifting into first, third, and fifth? (I *think* those are the gears nearest the hazards/temperature controls.)

I got a 2023 Gladiator manual. Love it.
We had a 2021 Gladiator in a Manual and around town and wheeling it was fun, but loaded up doing mountain passes it was non-stop shifting down/up/down/up. The gear ratios in the manual are not optimal for a loaded JT... and we had a re-gear to 4.88 on 37s. Maybe 5.13s would be a better idea in a loaded JT situation. Who knows. We rarely see them. However, this 2 door manual is a blast to drive!

Yup I definitely gotta regear. Drive 95% of time on highway with 35” tires. 4:56 ratio should work. I hope.
Loved my 04 TJ Rubi with a 5spd manual, even my 2011 JKU Rubi with the 6speed was amazing,
but unfortunately I had to give it up because of a sciatica diagnosis that turned out to be cancer.
Traded in my well used perfectly modified JKUR for a JTR auto still miss the manual some days.
I do agree something about a 2 door jeep with a manual especially in the summer.
I’ve had 2 JLR’s with the 6 Speed. First one was a 21 with 4.10’s running 35s and the current is a 23 with factory 4.88s running 37s. If you have the option and want a manual, get it from the factory with 4.88s (best bang for the buck factory option). 4.10s are okay if you never intend to upgrade to larger tires, 35s sucked in my opinion.
You should get the customer to splurge for an aftermarket clutch/Flywheel. It absolutely is the best mod for a 6speed JL
I have researched a lot on that since, even considered a manual for my next Jeep

You guys should make a conversion for a 392 in front of the manual. Nothing on the market afaik.

Hated my JL 2 door Manual Rubicon , compared to my 03 Rubicon. It had no torque and a light weight flywheel and junk clutch . There is a reason they are on recall 3 with only band aid fixes . Good news they look good and with 5:13 gears are ok on the highway .

Jeep should just hire epic or give them all the jeeps they want. However, they want them need to end it with you always build a toyota to be like a jeep still wont make it a #JEEP #MOPAR

watch out out for the clutch catching on fire, check the Jeep recall and their stupid "fix". I bought a 2021 manual and resold it within a month after reading the horror stories. I bought a 2024 Sahara and love it.

3.6 is perfect as long as you regear. That rig needs 5:13 gearing on those 37s.

Great Build on the OG JEEP-SIZED JEEP... I would recommend adding a front bumper grill guard hoop. It actually saved my Jeep and me during a trip in Colorado. I deer darted out from the trees and I hit it almost at highway speed. Saw the deer fly forward and to the side. That grill guard did exactly that. NO damage to the grill or headligjts 🙏 but the off-road light that are mounted on the bumper took a beating 😢 they got bent up pretty bad. There was deer hair all over the front in that center guarded area of the grill. It was a direct center hit... I think the guard kept the deer from flying over the hood 🤔 GET ONE THEY WORK.
22 6MT JT and 23 6MT JL in the driveway, both Sports with less then 1k in options. Manual windows, trans, locks, and soft tops, it's the life

Awesome jeep! Here in Italy i drive a jeep jk ‘14 2 doors with manual transmission and 2.8 crd diesel engine. 4.10 gears and 33” tires. Perfect combo.

I was 98% going to order one, but opted to get a 2 door Xtreme Recon. Other than springs that do NOT hold a winch, it is good thus far.
Nearly bought that identical jeep in 2018. I had a manual tj at the time and was determined to get an automatic so ended up with a hard rock rubicon jk 2 door.
I custom ordered my JL back in 18 when they first came out and got the 2 door, 6 speed manual. At the time of order, they were about a month away from starting the 2 door production. Still absolutely love it to this day. Only downside (initially) was the clutch recall problem that they could never seem to fix. No big deal I told myself, when the clutch goes, I'll just get an aftermarket option. About 8 months ago, they pushed out a fix and my 5 year old jeep now has a complete new clutch paid for by jeep. Guess I'll have to wait a little longer for that aftermarket option. Though seeing this one has really got me wanting 37's lol
Have a 2 door stick willys ordered for a month now. Still on restriction because of the stick. Cant believe that's considered a special feature now.

We ordered the Rock Hard 4x4 angled down set. We've have clients battle test them on the Rubicon and other gnarly places and they hold up well. Cheers from the team at EPIC!

Damn... the real OG Jeep. Some would argue that this is they way God and John Moses Browning would make a Jeep. Pretty lovely thing. I will stick with my Gladiator. It does most all the things I need.
