    For overseas bros, there are 5 boroughs of NYC, which is why the city is often referred to as The 5 Boroughs. Brooklyn to the East of Lower Manhattan, Queens to the East of Midtown and the Upper East Side of Manhattan, the Bronx to the North of Manhattan, Staten Island at the South end of New York Harbor, and of course, Manhattan in the center, with New Jersey to the West of the Hudson River being the unofficial 6th borough. Also, no, Rhode Island is not an actual island. It's its own state in New England. It's not even part of the metro area. Brooklyn and Queens are the Western tip of Long Island.

    • @Destinum

    • @gabetalks9275
      @gabetalks9275 26 дней назад +6

      @@Destinum Nah. The Bronx has always been its own borough. It's the only borough connected to the mainland, with the mountainous Hudson Valley immediately to its North. It's famous for being the birthplace of rap/hip-hop and breakdancing. The Yankees are called the Bronx Bombers because they play in the Bronx. And back when the Giants and Dodgers were still in New York (fuck Robert Moses btw), the Giants were called the Manhattan Bombers because they played in the Polo Grounds right across the river from Yankee Stadium in Harlem. The nickname comes from the old time baseball cross-town rivalry. It's insane to think about after the Dodgers collab, but if it wasn't for Robert Moses being the classist, racist piece of shit monster that he was, the Dodgers would still be the Brooklyn Dodgers. When Jackie Robinson integrated baseball, he was a Brooklyn Dodger. Not an LA Dodger.
