I was at this game! This was UCLA's home stadium, and there were EASILY 80,000 Badger fans there. Amazing the sea of red in that stadium that day! If UCLA could have tackled Ron Dayne just once, they might have won this game!

Big Ten was stacked that season. Would’ve been interesting if 11-1 Wisconsin or OSU took on Tennessee for the natty instead of 1 loss FSU.

The UCLA defense that season was terrible, Edgerrin James and Miami ran through UCLA to keep them from playing for the national title.

LMAO when Wisconsin's QB rips off a big run to put them at 1st and goal, the announcer goes "First and gooooaal Nebrask-....Wisconsin!" You can tell Wisconsin playing in big bowl games was still sort of new back then! Freudian slip there for sure, he thought he was watching Big Red for a second there! As always Ron Dayne was a beast in this game.

@Pastor Adam Plus both teams have nearly identical jerseys and helmets. Only difference being the big W and the N.

I remember watching this game on television. I enjoyed it. Not a fan of either team. I just thought that it was a really good football game.

All Wisconsin does is run. If you can’t stop it you just can’t no matter what conference you’re from.

@@abercrom21guy Ohh okay, but any 3 of those teams would’ve probably beaten UCLA in 98. And although y’all did deserve the Rose Bowl over Wisconsin in 1999, aren’t you more happy with your win over SEC Champions Alabama instead of Wisconsin’s win over #22 Stanford?
