renoise project download in description.
y2k-inspired atmospheric dnb track mixed entirely on the oto bébé chérie. this is just renoise with six stereo outs to the BC. synth sounds were created with my nord modular g2, zebra2, and serum.
track is titled "somewhere" and can be downloaded here: / isfcp

lovely wavey pad
wow. absolutely brilliant.
thanks so much for checking it out :)
Lovely track mate! 😊 How do you like the mixer? I looked at that a while ago - nice that it has a comp & enhancer at the end of the chain.
heya friend! thanks so much for giving it a listen. the bebe cherie is awesome, it definitely has a unique character with the gain/drive, comp, and "bliss" knob. It has a nice small footprint too... only con i have with it is... i wish it had a separate send/return that didn't take up a channel. I'm sort of a small analog mixer collector at this point, i have more of those than synths and samplers lol... i think if i could only keep one, it would still be the mackie 1202 from the 90s or the topaz 14 from the 90s haha...
Haha, love it. I'm much the same mate. Was actually looking at the Mackie vs this as a secondary mixer. Love having the ability to drive and compress stuff all integrated. That Oto company make great products. I'm still swaying towards the Mackie just because people bang on about driving the channels so much. I just want to hear how it sounds so I can get back to my life 😂 @@arcologies
Tried to subscribe to you again by accident. Would buy some pack of serum patches from u if you're feelin entrepreneurial
This track is amazing. Is the oto bébé chérie worth the wait?
Thanks so much for checking it out! It’s a great little mixer with unique character. It’s worth the wait if you want the oto sound, but I have a few small cheap 90s mixers that also sound awesome 😊
Noice! Any opinion of this mixer over an Oto Boum for compression and glue duties?
hey there! i've used both actually. the bebe cherie has some unique character and sounds really nice and full... the EQs are cool, master compressor sounds great, and the bliss knob lives up to it's name. i was looking for a really small analog mixer for live performance, and figured i'd give this one a shot... i love it. I've used an OTO boum in the past, and I enjoyed it too. OTO just makes really great hardware.
In a perfect world with a larger workspace for me, i'd full-time my old school mackie or topaz mixer and use the boum. but in a situation where you're looking for a tiny colorful mixer with a unique compressor and enhancer, the bebe cherie is a solid option.
do you have a mixer right now?
i used the topaz14 and boum for this track:

@@arcologies - thanks for the reply. I have a 1010 bluebox mixer so maybe adding just the Boum would make sense considering your comments on your perfect world setup. Your topaz14/boum track sounds sweet.
and what is your opinion about this mixer?
I love it, but the two main things that people don't like about it aren't an issue for me: mini jacks and no traditional send/return. The gain/distortion, master compressor, and bliss feature all have their own vibe. Having this small of an analog mixer with a unique character was exactly what i was looking for.
I have 2x drum machines in the first 2 channels, 2 synths in 3&4, and use the channel select button as a send to an Eventide H90, which returns into the fifth stereo channel - works like a charm, and is great for performance. Not as flexible as a traditional send, but I use the wet/dry mix on the Eventide to blend.
@@arcologies Can you run the alt output back into one of the stereo channels with Inserts in between to create an 'FX' dedicated channel?
