This information really sheds light on the process and will definitely help future job seekers aiming to work in Germany. It’s important to understand the job market dynamics before making the move.
Also due to Workers Council. Each time they hire, company has to get permission from workers council, many times workers council recommend the hiring team to hire local candidate or somebody living in Germany. it’s one of the reason they don’t hire people from abroad unless he/she in Germany
I have been living and working in Germany for over 11 years. Language is key especially for non IT jobs, and learning to speak it well is a commitment, it takes many years the question you have to ask yourself is of it is worth your time
It was really helpful! Should the CV be in German language or English for an English speaking IT job? And also if the job description is in German language and they haven't mentioned about the German language skills should we create our CV in German?
If it is an English speaking job, then definitely English CV is fine. For German adverts, if your cv is in German it definitely creates a good impression
Hi kaustav, I really enjoy your content about life in Germany-very insightful! I have a question regarding pursuing an MS in Germany. For someone with a background in Electronics and Communication Engineering, would top universities like TU Berlin, TU Munich, or Bonn consider the application, or could the background be an issue? If so, what can be done to improve the chances? It would be great if you could share your thoughts or even make a video on this topic, as it might help many students. Thank you!
Great Video! I'm going through a change in careers. Technically, I'm going back to a career that I was in for 6 years. How would you approach this? or any tips?
That’s perfectly alright. Just brush up those skills before interviewing. Also, be prepared to answer the question- why did you leave it earlier after 6 years and why are you going back
Im in the UK, i now elementary level German, also have experience in india around 6 years and masters in the UK, should I consider opportunity card! Come to Germany! Especially as a industrial engineer..
If you are in UK and you are getting an English speaking job, I would suggest you to stay there. Germany might seem better but the job market and language gap is quite difficult to be honest
I mean, job market is shit, here it's difficult to get sponsorship, I'm learning German as well, it's crap in the UK, having 1.5 year's visa left in the UK...
@@sasi_4395 It is difficult in UK to get jobs .... many many barriers First we need ILR and then SC clearance and every job after applying will ask if you need sponsorship and profile will get filtered out then and there.. I would say 1.5 yrs is still a good time to go get jobs.... try for jobs in both the countries and grab the first opportunity you get.... How ever whatever you do, if you are not in scarcity of money then please don't join the hot jobs like in KFC , Primark, Tesco etc as it will only waste your time as for a short time it will fetch you money but it will waste your time....
Once again Wonderful video Kaustav. I'm 9.5yrs Experienced in Software QA Manual Tester . Learning Automation testing. Can you please let me know how are the job opportunity for me ? Can I get Opportunity card and come to germany and give it a try ? Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

The current situation is not so good. I would suggest you to wait for atleast 3-4 months and then decide. As mentioned in the video, the last quarter of the year is as it is not so sharp in terms of jobs.
Could you please make a video for freshers, currently doing masters. Those who are searching for jobs in Hamburg. How to apply Those who are shifting career from management to IT department Possibilities
