Nate, What was missing in the sheltering in vehicle was the issue of condensation and how to mitigate it, especially with a buddy heater. Cracking a window open a smidge and having a sponge or backpacking towel is very important. Regarding melting snow, a plastic bag or nylon stuff sack to harvest a large volume and then creating a seed volume and adding raw snow to the water is much more efficient than packing a vessel and melting it down. Snow is a tremendous insulator. I keep a jetboil in the truckbag 24/7 365 - I also prefer instant mashed potatoes over any backpack meal. Spam doesn't freeze either. fun episode- keep up the good work.

One thing I always include for winter is a pack of cheap, generic fruit punch crystals. If you are stranded out on a lake, or in the snow. You can toss a package or two onto the ground. It will turn the snow and/or ice a bright pink color, making it easier for search and rescue to see you from the air.

Hi Nate Just a heads up. It is not a block and tackle it is a snatch block and while it can be helpful for odd angle or slingshot recoveries it’s primary purpose is to double the pulling power of your winch. So with the snatch block set up at the anchor point say on a tree with a tree protector fitted then the winch cable is returned via the snatch block and anchored back to a recovery point on the vehicle. It’s then doubles the winching power but halves recovery speed. Hope that helps clear it up a bit. Cheers Brett

You're amazing!
Will Nate, there was one really funny thing I saw in your video that made me laugh so hard I had to comment on it, your vehicle was shut down by an EMP but while you were heating water you could use your cell phone, I wonder how many people would catch on to the fact that that's not how things would work but it was funny kudos on that one!
@@typhon800 Unlikely as cell phones have a senstive rf pre-amp. That will get fried for sure as well anything RF devices that are not in a faraday cage. Not sure if it a smartphone will turn on if the pre-amp is fried as it might cause a electrical short.
There is probably a 80% chance the car will start after an EMP as vehicles have built in surge protection. I believe a test down in the 1990s showed that at 80% of the vehicles would run after an EMP test. Radio & smart electronics will be toast, but odds are the vehicle will just stall and you be able to restart it.
Love your videos Nate! I live in Louisiana, but it’s fascinating to see how y’all came survive the winters in Alaska! Thanks for what you do, God Bless you and your family. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
reminds me of the comments left under your last video, i talked about a dream I had with nukes flying. The two commenters said I watch too much movies.... If something like this does happen, wont we all be notified by our precious leaders to save us all? think not
Good advice when breaking down, but if a nuke goes off nearby then get out of your car and into the beefiest building you can get access too. The last place you want to be is in a car when the blast and fallout comes.
You may not always be the most informative prepper show out there, but you're consistently the most entertaining. Lesson 1: In case of nuclear war, go out in the snow and play with a flamethrower lol
My whole neighborhood is like this dude. How can you get a community started when normalcy normans are everywhere. Sadly, think I'll be surviving on my own and that's gon'na suck.
Hey Nate, ME again...Great intro. You look wild with long hair. This was a solid prepping video. One thing I DIDN'T see was spare tires or an inflator/ common parts of any sort, for the vehicle. I might have missed it, as I was doing three things at once as always. Keep em coming Talk more soon...
I think before you melt and drink the snow you had better learn more about the geo engineering known as ice nucleation. The toxic ingredients that are used to create the increased amounts of snowfall by the PTB could be your demise.
survived two winters with no central heating, no heating at all. temps got down to 5 degrees above freezing though. not best way to get through the winter, but its doable and you dont need fancy gear for that.

WeatherTech makes reflective sun shades that are custom fitted for various vehicles. They come with multiple panels for all the windows. They cost more than a DIY's but will save you a lot of time.
Wow... This was amazing... Serious movie production going on at CP. Nice work... And a great gear breakdown. - Where's the CP Netflix show?!
I keep everything I need for any situation in my vehicle at all times.
Humor with teaching! Wonderful!
The shrooms must be kicking in 😂
Love it! Personally won't need all of this where I am; but it's a reminder for a couple things I want in my bag.
I carry alot of the same gear all neatly stored in my Decked drawer system..
Along with a good set of tools 🔧 and cant foget the makita portable coffee maker..
Great intro Nate! I love it! And the message was great as usual. Keep “em coming brother!
Good video, Good humor ang great product review. Great point of keeping emergency gear in the car and a bug out bag as well with water and some food maybe some spare clothes and toiletries . Cheers for giving us food for thought Nate have a great weekend mate 😁
One thing I always include for winter is a pack of cheap, generic fruit punch crystals. If you are stranded out on a lake, or in the snow. You can toss a package or two onto the ground. It will turn the snow and/or ice a bright pink color, making it easier for search and rescue to see you from the air.
Nate’s channel is the best prepping channel on RUclips.
Big fan! my two daughters absolutely love you and these skits especially this one lol. Im a baby preper later hoping to link up with survival full spectrum in al, as it is our fall back location we share in common. I love him and his wife too, he answered if i should bug out to main location rather just vacation next on his channel once. Ur doing great thanks so much!
Does Nate need his own show on Comedy Central?
An interesting EMP at the beginning that took out the two vehicles' electronics but left the phones and cell service. Very enjoyable!
I dusted snow off my herb garden cover this morning…In north texas before Thanksgiving I have never heard of this in my many years. Many prayers to the north east and you guys in the heavy snow.
That other guy is honestly doing better than I expected
Hi Nate
Just a heads up.
Cheers
Brett
Meanwhile in Florida... 🌞🌴💧🎣 🐟 🐠🦀🦞🦐🐸🐢 🏹 🦌🐗 🐇🐿🦃🦆...would almost be like a vacation from the norm, just with a challenge.
Unless you were in Ian's path of destruction. Then you still working on repairs, water damage, or total rebuild (presuming your home owners insurance will pay you on you policy).
FL isnt' a good place to be when TSHTF. over croweded, No power & humidity will turn just about every building into a black mold factory, bugs will eat you alive when there is no more gov't spraying.
Loved this video! Especially when Vladimir came to help!! LOL! You're so informative and do a great job on your videos showing all kinds of tools and survival equipment. Kudos to your camera men and women. They also do a great job! I dont always agree with your assesments of world events, but I really appreciate you and what you bring to the public, the food for thought you present and ALL the videos you do. Thank you Nate !
Cell service will be gone but the phone may survive. It is small enough. If he had a movie downloaded he’d be fine.
@@cassandrahowerton2668 And I half expected you were going to say it was a dashboard Faraday cage with the CB in it as well...lol
🤥..ARE YOU SAYING MY PORN DOWNLOADS WILL SURVIVE ARMEDEDDON ?
Excellent and humouress acting. Many valuable, lifesaving ideas
I’m amazed both phones working after an EMP but not the vehicles hilarious
I love it when nate does these lil skits
I do like you skits. Its a nice change of pace considering everything going on.
Love your videos Nate! I live in Louisiana, but it’s fascinating to see how y’all came survive the winters in Alaska! Thanks for what you do, God Bless you and your family. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
It's gotten down into the 50's here in Texas. We're huddled under blankets, freezing! Ha ha
Just love these sooo much. Thank you Canadian Prepper please don't stop what ya do. Funny and serious is a perfect mix.
reminds me of the comments left under your last video, i talked about a dream I had with nukes flying.
Shroomz must be kickin in whoooo!!
Love it Nate 👏 Well done comparison of the slickers vs the prepared💪💪🇨🇦❤️🙏🏼
Definitely your best video yet. Thank you from Michigan
Anytime brother love your videos
My whole neighborhood is like this dude. How can you get a community started when normalcy normans are everywhere. Sadly, think I'll be surviving on my own and that's gon'na suck.
You might want to seek out like-minded people outside your neighborhood Laura, and discuss ways of meeting up and sharing resources when needed
My hood is not to trust so then absolutely not, do as i do, pretend to be poor and needy they will stay allergic to you
Hey Nate, ME again...Great intro. You look wild with long hair. This was a solid prepping video. One thing I DIDN'T see was spare tires or an inflator/ common parts of any sort, for the vehicle. I might have missed it, as I was doing three things at once as always.
Keep em coming
Talk more soon...
I think before you melt and drink the snow you had better learn more about the geo engineering known as ice nucleation. The toxic ingredients that are used to create the increased amounts of snowfall by the PTB could be your demise.
Is that the "Chem trails" everyone wants fret about?
Wouldn’t these chemicals then also be in the water systems? And, it would also depend on where one lives.
You got a great sense of humor, these skits are gold.
Love the burnout budd great video in all aspects ty for making my day 👍👍👍👍👍
Nate - As far as importance scooping up snow to melt, 1st rule is scoop up no yellow snow!
That was my favourite clip of the week too. Trudeau getting in shit from xi. 😂
survived two winters with no central heating, no heating at all. temps got down to 5 degrees above freezing though. not best way to get through the winter, but its doable and you dont need fancy gear for that.
If you did that without any heat at all, how did your water pipes not freeze?
I think this only applies to places that get cold, and even only for those who don't know what they are doing.
Lol
In reality, he'd been cooked 🔥 by radiation and then wiped out from the shockwave.
If people lose power to the fridge, the warm weather people will have a different set of problems
@@kevinp6823 YUP exactly. None this matter at all but do you man!
Don’t know what they’re doing in what sense?
I don’t know what line is my favourite Nate. “First thing to do in a situation like this - I gotta have a smoke.” Pretty much sums it up with that det so close I suppose.
Awesome job Nate! Amazing video!!❤
Love your intro videos, this one is the best so far!
