Fully armed with weapons, K9 dogs, and worry about whether they will make it back home alive. Yet, their minds are still focussed. The plane was full so it was a real hoot. I don't think I've ever had so much fun on a flight. He opened the mike to the cockpit so the pilots could hear us. Thank you for your service young men, and thank you Ray, for a good time. You really know how to take care of your passengers!!
There is just something magical about watching a freedom bird full of Americas finest enjoying their trip back home! I hope they are all adjusting well and enjoying time with their loved ones!
Our neighborhood has been having little outside block parties since the pandemic. Last weekend this song was blasted for all of us to hear. We were all on our front porches singing along. It felt great to have a little fun and joy. Take care everyone ✌😷
Michael Adams, that is great, after spending time in the Middle East, I'm so glad they are having a good time because it's a bunch of young kids who've probably seen a lot of things that kids this age should never have to see. My son was deployed to Afghanistan, and he got back from there 6 years ago, thankfully never went back, but he's not the same person he was before he went over there. OORAH from an Army mom.
Brings back memories. During the 60's at Camp Lejeune (Camp Geiger) we had an outdoor theater to show movies. Waiting for the sun to set various guys would get on the stage and sing, play a guitar or a harmonica or whatever. It was all impromptu fun and outrageous times. Once the movie started there guys shouted out funny comments throughout the movie run. Never saw so many funny and talented guys in my life. Great times with great guys. Semper Fi Marines.
Hey marines, I don't want to say my name, I'm a young lady with disabilities, I love love love love you, I just wanted to say thank you for your selflessness, for all you do for me day in and day out, thank you for defending and protecting me, even if it just for me, im so grateful thankful blessed, to know yoyr out there standing guard. please know I never take what you do for granted. Life is short and I want you to know you all hold my heart. I send all my love, respect, loyalty, and lots of hugs.
Neil Diamond will never be forgotten, he’s an icon and I’ve loved his music for decades. In a world filled with so much division it’s does me good to see people get together and sing Sweet Caroline.
Lost somewhere back in the comments is one from the young lady the returning military guys were singing to. Her name is Caroline, and she expressed how that was one of the best experiences of her life. An awesome moment.
This makes me weep for the time when our fellow humans loved and cared for each other and could share a sweet touching moment like this without someone getting triggered over the loud singing or whatevs.
I love Marines! I feel so fortunate to have served in the Corps. It really does stay a part of you for the rest of your life. When I was a kid, two Marines (one retired and one in the reserves) came to my house December 23rd. someone had put us on the "Toys for tots" list. It was a hard year for my family. And they gave me "Jet Fire." The coolest transformer toy out of them all. I never forgot that. 10 years later I'm standing on top of the Reaper receiving my Eagle Globe and Anchor as a brand new United States Marine. 14 years later, I'm working with Toys for Tots. And I owe the Marine Corps my life. They saved me. Made me worth saving.
To the guy that posted this- I work for this airline and this video occasionally makes the rounds from one flight attendant to the next, but I the story goes this was actually Caroline’s last flight before having to leave for a major surgery. Y’all were great for this. ❤️
Hahahaha this video put a smile on my face. This is awesome!! I love it when people connect with others in a way that's not common. Shows a bit of creativity and sense of humor. On a side note: glad you guys made it back home safe :)

Lol, my dad was a Marine. I’d wake on Saturdays with him in the kitchen making pancakes belting out “From the halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli...”.
Love it!! I have amazing memories of my freedom ride home after Gulf 1. For us it was Whitney Houston's rendition of the National anthem at Superbowl 25. No one on that plane would admit it, but there wasn't a dry eye on that plane. The other seminal moment was when the pilot announced "We have left Saudi air space". It was like we had been emancipated. Semper Fi my brothers. Welcome home.
this is so wholesome, because his next video 2 years later is his wedding video, which means he arrived home safely, married and had kids. Thank you for your service.
My dear Marines, Is for me an enormous honour to watch this video for all that you represent: fighting for freedom, risk your own lives for us. I admire you for your courage, generosity and, in this video, for your sense of humor too. You sing really well. But the most important is you were coming home from Iraq in order all people feel safe because Marines Corps takes care of us. Semper fidelis! God bless you! My best wishes from Spain!
I know this video was made many years ago HINT all the digital cameras. Oh and the lack of iPhones etc. No matter where you’ve heard this song it’s always played a role in all of our hearts. For me it’s a very emotional type video because of the fact I grew up in the time Neil Diamond produced this song. I thought it was very cute to see troops singing this on a plane coming back or going to war. Just seeing how people reacted to the sound of his music was good enough for me. WHAT A CLASSIC SONG!!!
Why’s this recommended to me on Aug 2021? I’m not complaining, made me tear up, especially after what’s currently going on in Afghanistan and those brave soldiers being killed. 😢❤️ I don’t understand why’s there’s so many dislikes. I guess some people just like to be miserable.
My father was a Marine as were a few cousins, a great uncle and my great grandfather. This is so funny!!! I love the Corps!!! Semper Fi and thank you for your sevice!!!'

Our neighborhood has been having little outside block parties since the pandemic. Last weekend this song was blasted for all of us to hear. We were all on our front porches singing along. It felt great to have a little fun and joy. Take care everyone ✌😷
I would do it to but a lot louder
“Plandemic”
Honestly this is so cute how everybody starts singing. It’s kinda rare to get a whole crowd singing🥰
When it's a full plane of Marines, It's not all that unusual
Go to the Old Shelalie on Sunday nights the whole second floor is singing. It’s an Irish pub. Great place
Ps it’s in Detroit Michigan.
@@butchyshoe thank you! Seems myself and like 3 others are aware of this? 😂
This brings back so many memories. Semper Fi to my brothers and sisters, and happy you made it home safe. This is just Marines having a good time.
Michael Adams And they totally deserve it.
Michael Adams o
Michael Adams, that is great, after spending time in the Middle East, I'm so glad they are having a good time because it's a bunch of young kids who've probably seen a lot of things that kids this age should never have to see. My son was deployed to Afghanistan, and he got back from there 6 years ago, thankfully never went back, but he's not the same person he was before he went over there. OORAH from an Army mom.
Oorah
Thank you guys
I don’t know if you’re aware but your user name has your name in it. Tabitha
@@zxandz3173 That might be her screen name, not her given name?
Neil Diamond will never be forgotten, he’s an icon and I’ve loved his music for decades. In a world filled with so much division it’s does me good to see people get together and sing Sweet Caroline.
Right before the 19th year since the horrible attacks in NYC. God bless all these Marines. Thank You for your service
What service?
Lost somewhere back in the comments is one from the young lady the returning military guys were singing to. Her name is Caroline, and she expressed how that was one of the best experiences of her life. An awesome moment.
This is 12 yrs old but it's never too late to say thank you for your service.
No one:
RUclips algorithm: This week you shall watch *Sweet Caroline*
Am so happy my name is Caroline. What a classic song, it never grows old! Cheers from Trinidad.
I wonder if you get a cut of the profits this song makes every time it’s played on the radio
Lol😂 I wish!
This makes me weep for the time when our fellow humans loved and cared for each other and could share a sweet touching moment like this without someone getting triggered over the loud singing or whatevs.
14 years later and I am sure she still remembers this!!! unforgettable!!!
Been on many flights...why can I never get on one with THESE people?!
This was great - music brings us together, no doubt!
Only the "Karens" are upset here....tough luck, get your own song. UhRah
They have their own song.
Monster mash!
@@davidgonzalezsanchez2093 Karen? A whiny woman sticking her nose where it doesn't belong because of her self importance
The Marines in the video wouldn't say UhRah because they aren't American.
To the guy that posted this- I work for this airline and this video occasionally makes the rounds from one flight attendant to the next, but I the story goes this was actually Caroline’s last flight before having to leave for a major surgery. Y’all were great for this. ❤️
That's quality, I bet the feeling of heading home after a tour is unreal. Hope to find out, joining the Royal Marines (UK) (Fingers crossed)
Good luck
Joining the US Marines, oorah brother.
Ethan Paulley thank you
Bill Grundy y
Bill Grundy How'd you get on mate?
Hahahaha this video put a smile on my face. This is awesome!! I love it when people connect with others in a way that's not common. Shows a bit of creativity and sense of humor. On a side note: glad you guys made it back home safe :)
We know this will show up on the recommended page along time later whenever the world needs it :)
Marines: I'm a rough and tough killing machine.
Also Marines: SWEEEEEET CAROLINNNNE!

I have a massive fear of planes, every time I think of one death walks in to say hi
You literally think this dont you
How lovely ! Thank you for posting this ! ❤ I am sure the flight attendant will remember this forever!
Thank You for all your service. That song has a lot of personal meaning for me. Best to you always

I'm really impressed that everyone knows the song!
They’re all Red Sox fans 😀
Classic sing along.
This video never gets old! Such an amazing moment. 🥰♥️
Thank you all in the US armed forces for all that you do.
AMEN ❤ 🙏
great video :-) glade you made it home.God bless you
valefor helel glad
Im quite happy to see that this is what happens when you ship marines in bulk.
A rare glimpse at the inside of an actual can of wup-ass.
They had to do something someone had forgot to load the Crayons.
God bless the Marines!...Greetings from Germany!
The narrative and the video is so damn beautiful! Thank you for your service, all of you heroes in the U.S! Music brings people together! ❤Much love from Sweden! ✌
Been on three flights that everyone sang out of pure happiness to be going back to the good old U.S.A. Welcome home brothers.
Thank you so much for serving our country. This is a beautiful moment in time... and... DC-10!!!!
You can't take a marine anywhere without them breaking out a song.
Lol, my dad was a Marine. I’d wake on Saturdays with him in the kitchen making pancakes belting out “From the halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli...”.
You’re... so right, so right, so right!
Well...look at their uniforms, they are meant to be out front getting looked at and noticed. Pretty snappy.
Thanks for letting us share in your joy. Made me feel sooo good to watch this. God Bless You.
The days when everyone would film with actual cameras instead of phones
Our Boy rip :(
I know like everyone had a camera with them, nowadays it seems strange 😂.
Our boys coming home from iraq
Fuck off
Man fuck off with that shit, 2009 was only 11 years ago, phones and phone cameras existed then. Wasn’t some sweet precious era lmfao.
13 years later and it still shows up on my TL... amazing
It's so sweet to see the other FA'S cover the plane duties while Caroline was entertaining everyone. That's the mark of quality air crew!
I have loved this song since it first came out. I can’t believe people of all ages know this song.
brought tears to my eyes. close family members are veterans, so God bless this group wherever they are now.
My dear Marines,
Is for me an enormous honour to watch this video for all that you represent: fighting for freedom, risk your own lives for us.
Her: "He's probably out with other girls"
Me with the boys:
Even though this video got recommended to me 11 years after it got uploaded I'm still happy to see it RUclips!
Its classic! Salute to all the servicemen of USA and to sweet attendant " Caroline"!
This song is still popular till this day:
Meanwhile in 2047: Still popular
Someone's going to reply to this in 2047 I swear
If people keep naming their daughter Caroline...
im waiting for 2047 people to respond..
And meanwhile in 2065, the song, while still popular, has entered the public domain. No more copyright protection of it!
7th inning stretch at Fenway when baseball has fans back in the stands, we'll be singing this again
Why’s this recommended to me on Aug 2021? I’m not complaining, made me tear up, especially after what’s currently going on in Afghanistan and those brave soldiers being killed. 😢❤️
I don’t understand why’s there’s so many dislikes. I guess some people just like to be miserable.
Listening to this again 6 years later from my original comment, so sweet Caroline!
To the MARINES, Thank you for your service and welcome home. Nothing compares to the feeling of take off and touch down on that return flight...
My grandkids all had this as their class song. Beautiful
Thank you for your service and thank you for sharing this awesome video! This is exactly what the world needs right now.
You can’t help singing along with Sweet Caroline 💖💖
Ganz einfach und ohne große Worte. Ich liebe das Lied!
This is SOOO frigging cute! 😆🥰😁 I'll bet she'll remember this particular Flight for the rest of her Life!😄😍😊
My father was a Marine as were a few cousins, a great uncle and my great grandfather. This is so funny!!! I love the Corps!!! Semper Fi and thank you for your sevice!!!'
