      I have made several Tunisian afghans. I have always used the hooks that have the long wire, usually flexible plastic with a large button at the end to keep the stitches from falling off. They are not as easy to find as they once were, but a search will usually turn up a few sources. Lynn from California

    Esther Ng - you can buy tunisian hooks that have a cable on them like circular needles. There is some sort of "stopper" on the end so your stitches don't slide off. I have a beautiful set that I bought from Handsome Fibers that I love.

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  2 года назад +1

      I'm glad you like it 😊 To make a larger piece you need to follow the instructions exactly the same, only with more chains - you will need a hook with a cable on the end to do this, otherwise you won't fit them all on (you can also make small squares and join them together as you would with regular crochet).

      You’re welcome 😊 Tunisian crochet does tend to curl because of the way it’s constructed, but you can lessen this by blocking it once it’s finished, and also adding a border can help it lay flatter.

      Because of the way that Tunisian crochet is constructed, it's really common for it to curl up. If you work with a heavier type of yarn such as cotton you may find that it lies flatter, but you can also block your work after it's finished too 😊

      Bella Coco but the one with the “stopper” on the end you can’t can you?
      I want to send you a picture of a blanket I’m interested in but not sure where to send it to.... can you give me an email address or something? If it’s private then I’ll give you mine if you can email me first then I can email you back...I don’t have a pattern to follow. But there’s a web address where I can be seen.

    is there a way to keep it from curling at the end. If not is there another step you can do to make it flat.

      I think you'd have to block it at the end. Tons of videos on blocking your finished work on RUclips 😊
