Excellent review fellas. I was wondering if the Golden Apple was worth the price, and like you said, it is if you are a collector or a sipper or just want to bring out the heavy hitter in front of company. I really like the Regal Apple, so there's no need to for me to get the Golden Apple. Thanks for such a concise, honest review.
So I think the way it’s described is that it’s apple mixed with a blend of 23 year aged whiskeys. It’s unclear if the apples are added before or after the blending and aging lol but I guess that ruins the magic. But hey, nobody is going to tell you “this whiskey sucks” if they see the fancy bottle, they will just smile and nod if they don’t like it 😂
@@TheRealOfficialGator I actually didn’t mind the 23. For me it wasn’t overwhelming with apple flavor. I ended up killing the bottle lol. And agreed it’s definitely not going to be for everyone that’s for sure. If the price point was lower IMO I’d buy another one.
@@FNFBARTALK I can definitely see the price point being the limiting factor. 250+ for a flavoured whiskey almost feels wrong. I think at most I would pay 80 for something like that. But I think the reasoning it mostly because they knew it wouldn’t sell a lot, so to make minimum profit, a few people buying it at 250 makes them break even a little bit easier than a few people buying it at 80. It doesn’t help that their lead competition is their own 25 dollar product 😂
@@TheRealOfficialGator true. They have been rolling out a lot of new bottles lately. I’m sure the next flavored bottle will be a big success like the blackberry was. That stuff sold out fast around me so the marketing was definitely on point but it kept being “ limited “ release again lol. Store by me just received another like 15 cases of it. So either it didn’t sell well in some states and that’s the leftovers or they made a ton more than they said.
@@FNFBARTALK oh yeah “limited release” is a very loose term in the world of alcohol hahaha. Like how all of the Hendricks craft Gins like Orbium are “limited release” but have been for several years
@@TheRealOfficialGator even the fireball dragon reserve has me scratching my head. Such a low number of bottles but I see tons of stores with 20+ bottles constantly on the shelves. It can’t be that limited if I see it that often. Definitely some marketing gimmicks going on. I’m looking for the Sazerac spritz now and I can’t find any info about those yet. They are more elusive lol
Been looking for a review like this for some time now and I gotta say great review fellas.
Glad we could help you out 😄. Thanks for the feedback
