This guy gets it. I always wondered why developers are so focused on editing with code instead of editing visually. Even though page builders are bulky, clunky, and lack the most optimal end product; they are the future.
I think Max really hits the nail on the head when he describes what is wrong with current no-code platform. What he is pitching is basically a visual editor with code as the underlying representation instead of of a platform that hides that representation. My dislike of no-code platforms comes exactly from the fact that I am limited by either not being able to edit the underlying code or having code generated that is so unreadable that trying to edit it is futile. Also the fact that game designers use visual editing so much could be due to the fact that in game design you always have a camera perspective into a rendered but fixed world and don't have to deal with responsive design.
I love the idea of making a no-code platform that we as developers can edit not just the styles but the core of the component like its jsx.
Love that idea too. Listening to him it doesn't look that hard
Max ideas ahead of time and the team is building tech around it. Amazing stuff!
Yeah his great. Since then he left Gatsby to build his own product. For sure something to keep an 👀 on!
Every 2 min a new js framework is born

We should always push for simplifying the work, because the work gets complex all by itself. Codeless Engines push back.

Max: Dishes out a monologue on why caches are bad for you
Sam: Coool
😂
Haha
Nothing to add to that apparently 😂
damn if gatsby go no code but editable that would be excellent
That's would be very cool indeed!!
