Glad it worked out, but dang i guess tourney life brings new meaning to getting life out of tires. I would not travel far on tires like that, cueball comes to mind.
Ive never disconnected truck to jack up boat trailer, that seems lil sketchy. Easiest way i have found was when i go on long trips i take a little wooden ramp i made out of 2x6 boards to pull up one of the duals on and it raises the tire in front of it or behind it.
I keep a floor jack!some 4×4'rs ! Of wood ! 4 way ! Extra hub and boat spare tire in my truck !My buddy's bust my balls ! Can never be to prepared !Glad ya got it done!
I appreciate your competitive nature balanced with a safety attitude from leaving the house to returning to your family. While there are safety issues to consider on the lake (lightening/severe weather), a breakdown on the side of the road in the dark is more dangerous than most realize. I’m glad you were prepared. Consider adding a battery impact (with sockets that fit both truck and trailer), keep the four way, aluminum floor jack with a 1/2” sheet of plywood so it doesn’t sink in a muddy ditch, and a ramp to drive the trailer on to lift one side. Good finish on an unfamiliar lake
Every journey tells a story. I've had blow outs, two wheels bust (was a late one that night) engines blow up and numerous other fun things happen while travelling to and from fishing events, all part of what makes it interesting :)
You have 67 rods and NO FLOOR JACK in your truck?? That's a must with all the traveling we do..I carry plug kit small compressor..that comes from experience of having a flat at ramp.
Another great idea 💡 1/2 prybar with a deep well socket for the lugnuts. But the best thing is the suggestion someone else made get a 20v impact with an impact socket to match.

Isn't she the same Mrs Nancy Williams Laplace that my neighbors are talking about, she has to be a perfect expect for people to talk about her so well.
I always keep a rock in the back of my truck especially having a random axle trailer so I can pull or back the tire either in front or behind the one that's flat and get the flat one just enough off the ground to change it.. but changing a truck tire in a storm sucks ass no matter WHAT!!
Lots of different emotions from the weekend! I deal with Despino Tires too. Best in this area in my opinion.
Traveling around as much as you, pulling a boat, a Milwaukee cordless 1/2” impact is a must and makes life so much easier changing tires
Same here so quick and easy mine stays in the truck at all times.
True I carry a 3/4
I carry a floor jack and impact. I can change a tire in about 4 minutes!
Me too buddy
True story. This is a must
As much as you travel you should keep a cordless impact and floor jack in your truck.
Glad you are safe
them tires bald as heck.
Which suit out of the Gill lineup do you use, @Todd?
Pad Perch is legit, it’s going to get a workout in May for me. Taking a trip to Santee…
Glad it all worked out for the best. Especially in those adverse conditions.

It was just one tire that was that bald, but it wouldn't have mattered. I ran over a big piece of metal it would have done it to a brand new tire.
Dude those tires are as bald as the back of my head😂😂😂
Fuel wheels and bald tires, classic combo 😂
Invest in a 1/2 in impact.
Wait Todd what hills you got in Texas??
Discount tire, Best in the business
Despino Tire bestest in the business
Gods favor and prayers…
Harbor freight Hercules impact an a floor jack makes quick work of a flat. As much as you travel be a great investment.
That is exactly what I did and it is very helpful to do that

Flats suck. you mentioned the popping perch. If you could only have 3 colors in your boat which ones would you have?
Got only 2 T-shirts from tire experiences, but Todd, that truck tire of yours looks tired 🤣🤣🤣
Get and keep a 4 1/2 ton floor jack..will take care of truck and trailer flats, not expensive and doesn't take up much space at all
You have no flares to use
I got off the road, I was worried when it happened for the first 30 seconds
Got a flat off a knob for a humminbird unit at a boat ramp after a tournament I won. Crazy thing is my buddy’s that I beat didn’t help me 😂😂
Damn you got your money's worth outta them.. good grief man..
What is the LBJ?
A lake
Come on Todd go get a Milwaukee 1/2 inch battery operated drive 😂
Sooo you just need to invest yourself in an impact😂

You should travel with a good boat cover. Keep your boat carpet dryer. Lol
Sun dried it the next day
