That's right. Don't worry the Witness appreciates your 40 bucks and wants you to know your hard earned guns that took the entire season to earn are being sunsetted next season.
My girlfriend was watching me play and finish the campaign. She mentioned something early on that stuck out to me. Pyramids, historically were massive tombs. This Witness, whatever it is, speaks with many voices and it billows smoke that resembles faces out of its head. She drew a comparison to a biblical story of something called, Legion. Where thousands of demons possessed a single man and drove him to madness. What if this Witness is similar and isn’t a singular being but many taking on one shape, one form? What if it’s all of those who have died as a result of the travelers actions and the timeless war between the dark and light? What if it found shape from using the darkness as tool to destroy that which destroyed them? And what if it has slowly been gaining strength as more die? I dunno, just something that sounded kind of neat.
Even mass efect have own LEGION.. he was made of thousand voices like our weapon's.... lost in the past.. we seen our burial.. in the end.. we can become aprt of darkenss, just by our own dead.. unwillingly giving strenght to darkness.. like small snowball rollling out from cliff.. in EXCUSE ME zavala quote... we change some enemy in the wepons.. what if we becoming wepon like that too?? just by lost our life.. if darknes found the way to automatic this system ( pyramid's obviously ) is there even small posibility we gona win?? bcause we seen our burrial.. what Sain - 14 did for us.. meaby final shape of glaive is eternal super with all power enchanted sword abble to kill godest entity.. riping all that darkenss out of it.. freeing that lost soul's... what some of crawling on the moon.. looking for.. theyr own salvation.... and we, with that wepon... already dead... that now.. somewhere,, sometime.. lay on our coffin in garden of salvation -.- meaby that weapon it will be a key for this riddle,,,

I’m really excited to conclude the ending of this saga in destiny but I’m also really excited to see what’s beyond the final shape. Could there be some new force on the other side of the universe that’s able to oppose us?
Okay, so at this point we can determine that the Witness isn’t the Darkness but something using the Darkness, even though it has the triangular motif built into its clothing. So if the Traveler was in possession of the Witness, while the Darkness ships weren’t, I believe it’s form would appear more like the Traveler (circular in shape). Which then leads me to believe that if and, this is pure speculation, when it has its hands on the Traveler THATS when it will form itself into the Final Shape. Then it can do whatever it wants I’m assuming who knows but it’s interesting to see that this being has had enough of the Lights games, maybe even the Darknesses too. It feels like a parent coming home to punish their child and takeaway their privileges. I’m hoping it plays some kind of semi-parental role in all of this, obviously with more “evil” intentions.
so from lore from shadowkeep, we learned about two entities involved in the creation of everything, called the gardener and winower, with opposite philosophies about life. essentially the gardener is our philosophy, and the winower has the philosophy of the darkness. i personally believe the witness is a lower, different entity compared to the winower, almost working for it, while the winower is doing something else. this also means that the gardener is either controlling the traveler, or has a lower subject controlling it, similar to the witness, but it’s most likely the gardener itself.

I feel like since savathun's ghost is still alive we are going to be forced to revive her and she teaches us the power to take/witness as the next dark subclass, either that or teach us magic/sword logic along with eris.
Is anyone gonna talk about when the witness says "your pale heart holds the key"? Because I feel like it's hinting at something that will become highly important later on, that something might be inside the traveler, or us for that matter.
I don't think fucked would be the right word. Mainly because OUR guardian in particular is an anomaly that has done things that no other guardian has been capable of. We've taken down gods, atheon, crota, oryx and the splicers, ghaul, calus's clone robots, ahamkara etc etc. We even take down savathun. We save osiris and saint 14. I think we may just stand a chance against this witness but it'll require a sort of sacrafice, I know this because in the corridors of time we learn of our fate, we die defending the last city and saint 14 speaks to us as if we are dead. I think we can change our fate and defeat the witness, we didn't come this far to die now, the witness will need to send everything to take us out because we won't go down without a proper fight, the witness better be ready.
I mean, we never did those things fully solo. We always had help in in raids and for the normal big bads we had others to help us as well. Though oir Guardian IS the lynchpin to everything.

Is there going to be more campaign in the next 3 seasons cause why else would you spend 80$ on the deluxe edition other than pre-buying the season pass?
i have a theory, what if, the god wave was a way for the traveller to make all those proto-hive into hive guardians? if the god wave was meant to kill the entire species, wouldn't that mean the traveller could've done it so the entire species could become lightbearers?? "Devotion inspires bravery, bravery inspires sacrifice, sacrifice leads to death", this line confuses me because the proto-hive might have not been worthy for the light, let alone the ENTIRE race.
I don't think there was ever a god wave, that was just part of the trick . The traveler was coming to bless the proto hive, and with all the power of the traveler if there was going to be a god wave it could have easily prevented it.
The god wave was a fabrication, and though the sisters felt it starting to form while they were in the eepths, it was most likely the witness pushing them to desperation. The black fleet uses gravity as a weapon, it created the exact same circumstances of the god wave on titan to wipe out everyone on it, its likely what was happening on fundament was the same thing
I think the witness may be a 4th, 5th or 6th dimensional being. the way he moves his hands and there are several instances, the many faces appearing from his head remind me of Interstellar when the main character was in the singularity peering into the past from another dimension
Now that we have seen the witness and the odd statues in the hallway and on the ship on europa…………..my mind went back to the black armory lore book…… page 71 to be exact “the smell of wet earth” when the darkness attacked……… why do i feel like those statues aren’t there for show…….. and the thought that they remind me of the weeping angels………
Hopefully we get some crazy darkness powers like Titans can Blink punch and cloak themselves in darkness to move quicker and more durable, warlocks go full sith with pulls an pushes and grabs and Hunters getting crazy Lifesteal abilities
I like how the witness looks cause we see that it can assume multiple forms, so it feels like its appearance is an attempt to take a form that appeals to humans without understanding what actually looks human so it just looks wrong.
The traveler simply wants protection from the darkness. It doesnt care as long as it has body guards to protect it. But since savathun offered it a way to be unreachable from the witness and the pyramids it chose that. All it wants is its survival. Thats why it ditched the hive and the eliksni. They couldnt offer it protection. Anf now that we may not be able to it may ditch us as well.
I think that Lightfall will be Part 1 and The Final Shape will be Part 2 of the end of Light and Dark Saga. We might fail in Part 1 and come back in Part 2 or something else might happen
6:33 the 1st statue closest to us looks like fallen or scorn. Possibly Eramis or the scorn leader. 6:39 1st statue looks like a hive. Possibly Xivu while 2nd statue looks like Calus.
I have a ship called Unfinal shape. In its lore Eris says that "Asher, I saw a throne world built for the Light. Built with Darkness, of course, and the bitter logic of swords. But built for Light." Didnt she talk about Savathun's throne world?
Honestly I think their gonna be in black armor like the witness with smoke because in the lore before ada was a exo the lab was attacked by monsters from the darkness and it said they sounded like machines being stretched out
I don't know if anyone has brought it up before but after the Witness was done "discecting" Mars you see the same Claw -Like Marks across the planet as we did back in the first Destiny on the moon. The only difference is that Mars is glowing but that could just be because of it happening recently. Is there any lore about the moon disappearing and reappearing? I don't believe I've ever heard of it.
Because she wanted to monopolize its power. Make no mistake, she was only trying to protect it for her own selfish desires. She played into its own desire to survive the Black Fleet, because -- lest we forget -- Savathûn is on Savathûn's side. She would've "protected" it by locking it up like a princess in a high tower. With humanity protecting it, we're going to fight against the Darkness, something that Savathûn doesn't seem all that interested in doing.
The Guardians don't protect the Traveller, they protect humanity. They need the Traveller to do that, so it gets guarded too. If the Traveller was safely sealed in the throne world, the last city would be defenseless.

@@cosmicskies8249 I don’t know. This is giving me Star Wars vibes where some sent an assassin who sent an assassin who sent an assassin etc to kill Padme. It is bad writing to constantly have someone above someone again and again.
Am I the only one who wants to see guardians of every race: human, eliksni, cabal, and hive?
Or be able to play as one and have more different abilities hell yeah I’d like that
@@jag9872 Like "The New War" in Warframe, that will be cool.
i want Eliksni guardians.
@@DemocracyOfficerWood there is a good news, in the lore of destiny, a prophecy of the fallen speaks of a kell being blessed by the great machine, the traveler, and, if i have to bet, i say is mithrax, because everything he did
Yes
Do we still not know what the massive "leviathan" that was under titan is? Because I would love to know what that is finally. If its the leviathan from the hive homeworld or not and how big it really is because from the look of it it seems bigger than most any living creature we have seen so far in the destiny universe including worm gods and ahamkara.
That would be sick
There are multiple sea monsters on titan we see a smaller one in the car mission from the red war
my head canon now is that the witness and the planets in that room it was in are to scale and the witness is fucking massive.
It’s back as a LTM and we’re getting more lore
Just a worm god
those things look like Hive cabal and vex statues to me
those things in the wall during the witness cutscene
The witness is the cosmic horror ive been waiting for since D1.
Bro, the Witness even stands the exact same way as our doppelgänger in the Black Garden. We’ve already spoke w them personally
Oh Megamind....you should not write the GUARDIANS off so easily. Forget the Traveller. We're the ones turning you in to an Exotic. Better hope that army actually does something other than get whooped by us. :v
I haven’t been able to play destiny for a long time now so thank you very much for your videos they keep me up with the game and keep my interest peeked I hope I can come back some day to play the game again
I think bungie went for the mysterious looks rather than menacing for the witness which probably suits it's character better
I don’t love the look of The Witness but I guess we’ll have to wait & see what another race will look like.
I don’t want them to resemble humans though, I want to look at these big bad enemies like “wtf is that?”
To be fair - I think most everyone who has finished the campaign thus far has said “ wtf is that?!” 😂 who knows what that creature truly looks like though. That could just be a guise it uses 🤷♂️
@@agentstarkiller007 Yeah you’re right lmao I was just hoping to be terrified when I saw him but yeah things could change, at this point the story is fresh so Bungie could change whatever. Hopefully you’re right. I don’t want Megamind with big kitty cat eyes to be the face of the darkness lol
In dsc the witness was brought up too. Clovis said something about an entity from another dimension when you jumped thru space. I didnt notice it until lately when i played it again and connected the dots. So clovis came into contact with him at some point
one of many question remained is, what's the witness relation to the veiled lady/statues we found through deep stone crypt and garden of salvation?
I feel like since savathun's ghost is still alive we are going to be forced to revive her and she teaches us the power to take/witness as the next dark subclass, either that or teach us magic/sword logic along with eris.
Is anyone gonna talk about when the witness says "your pale heart holds the key"? Because I feel like it's hinting at something that will become highly important later on, that something might be inside the traveler, or us for that matter.
Man that was a great well made video, the mystique and allure of the witness is daunting and need more of it’
The witness also reminds me of the stopmation animation of the adventures of mark Twain from like 1985
The fallen angel and its weird mask face
Evade in the cutscene for the Witness reveal the statues on the left and right might be the veil
You mean different classes of the veil
The Witness looks like a poor remake of Megamind…
*Time to introduce him to The Telesto*
The fact that "the witness" scares a being like Mara sov shows how fucked we really are haha.
@@horrorpleb249 In corridors of time we die but we defeat the Darkness. The only fate we can change is defeat the Darkness and survive, or a third option which Darkness triumph.
Ikr i have never in my life ever seen Mara Sov being scared of anything not oryx or savathun or anytime this is the first time she doesnt have a plan and is haunted and terrified a being who is afraid of nothing..

The witness looks like the Sith Brother from star wars
Is there going to be more campaign in the next 3 seasons cause why else would you spend 80$ on the deluxe edition other than pre-buying the season pass?
i have a theory, what if, the god wave was a way for the traveller to make all those proto-hive into hive guardians?
if the god wave was meant to kill the entire species, wouldn't that mean the traveller could've done it so the entire species could become lightbearers??
"Devotion inspires bravery, bravery inspires sacrifice, sacrifice leads to death", this line confuses me because the proto-hive might have not been worthy for the light, let alone the ENTIRE race.
the darkness tricked them and the proto-hive were claimed by darkness
I don't think there was ever a god wave, that was just part of the trick . The traveler was coming to bless the proto hive, and with all the power of the traveler if there was going to be a god wave it could have easily prevented it.
The god wave was a fabrication, and though the sisters felt it starting to form while they were in the eepths, it was most likely the witness pushing them to desperation. The black fleet uses gravity as a weapon, it created the exact same circumstances of the god wave on titan to wipe out everyone on it, its likely what was happening on fundament was the same thing
@@dumbsterdives This is exactly correct!
In the corridor I saw a distinctly cabal, hive, scorn, fallen, and psion creature.
The witness looks like Chakra-Vartin from Asura's Wrath
I couldn’t be the only person who actually got creeped out when he looked at us I already know this is going to be good then
No. You were not the only one. I got creeped out and thought what is going on?

@@Realhydraguy yes. I play with subtitles and when we show savathun the worm memory it says witness is talking and it was same voice in last cutscene
I think the witness may be a 4th, 5th or 6th dimensional being. the way he moves his hands and there are several instances, the many faces appearing from his head remind me of Interstellar when the main character was in the singularity peering into the past from another dimension
When the witness said "Dont you ve afraid" I only think on Erra xD
The Witness looks like Jiren from DBS 😂
And Kalus got in contact with this entity twice with such ease? Yeah, Calus may really be a god...
K I’m glad I wasn’t the only one to see mega mind
They keep saying "we" what it the witness is the collection consciousness of races the Traveler abandoned??
i doubt it. listen to the way it talks. it sounds like it considers itself “everything” and “nothing” at the same time, you get what i mean?
6:32 these are the friends and foes of the traveler. The hive, cabal, humanity, and the fallen.
"Your white heart is the key" is something the witness said and it's been all I think about
possibly the travelers heart like the darkness heart in d1
Is it another of the Witness’s race inside the Traveler?
Maybe something similar but his agenda I think would be total opposite of the witnesså
Look man I had no intentions of giving Destiny another try but after watching all the cutscenes for witch queen……. I’m actually impressed.
For bungie to hold onto that hive reveal this long is impressive
Hopefully we get some crazy darkness powers like Titans can Blink punch and cloak themselves in darkness to move quicker and more durable, warlocks go full sith with pulls an pushes and grabs and Hunters getting crazy Lifesteal abilities
nah too much effort for bungo
What's the soundtrack at 12:25?
I like how the witness looks cause we see that it can assume multiple forms, so it feels like its appearance is an attempt to take a form that appeals to humans without understanding what actually looks human so it just looks wrong.
The Witness is voiced by Brett Dalton aka Agent Grant Ward in Agents of SHIELD.
Great video, great recap, top notch stuff Evade.
Bungie did a phenomenal job on this expansion. Everything just...*chefs kiss*
The witness’ face looks kinda goofy but that’s kinda what makes it unsettling.
Is there a reason why The Traveler did nothing when Savathun took it to her to Throne World and not stopping us?
The traveler simply wants protection from the darkness. It doesnt care as long as it has body guards to protect it. But since savathun offered it a way to be unreachable from the witness and the pyramids it chose that. All it wants is its survival. Thats why it ditched the hive and the eliksni. They couldnt offer it protection. Anf now that we may not be able to it may ditch us as well.
She was also using the other power of the taken king to move planets and doing some ritual to get the traveler.
It is is a safer place than out in the open on Earth lol. It'll probably dip out when the full fleet (along with the Witness) arrive
i cant believe it, the grand inquisitor from the hit show star wars rebels is the witness
I think that Lightfall will be Part 1 and The Final Shape will be Part 2 of the end of Light and Dark Saga. We might fail in Part 1 and come back in Part 2 or something else might happen
They really pulling an avengers 😂😂😂 I love it
Well brainiac has arrived in the destiny universe

@brummyuk with the last years seasons, yeah it was kind of theme. Why would the traveler ressurect her if she had evil intentions?
@@r0bnotr0bert We don't really know the traveler's motivations. Its not an absolute good force.
I have a ship called Unfinal shape. In its lore Eris says that "Asher, I saw a throne world built for the Light. Built with Darkness, of course, and the bitter logic of swords. But built for Light." Didnt she talk about Savathun's throne world?
The most un-menacing reveal of a floating q-tip . Now that’s comedy
me seeing the back of the witness: wow they look intimidating.
Me seeing their face: aww they look kinda cute!
I will admit his face is so scary his eyes make you feel cornered he make me feel like he will know every move im gonna do
It looks like hive acolytes when the witness is walking towars the curtain
Honestly I think their gonna be in black armor like the witness with smoke because in the lore before ada was a exo the lab was attacked by monsters from the darkness and it said they sounded like machines being stretched out
I want the black garden added as a destination and to explore pyramid/witness cities there
Witness dees nuts

Are those statues races The Witness has collected from turning them into the darkness? Or what are they?
Like are those species chosen by the traveler to wield the light and The Witness took them with the darkness and now holds them as trophies?
@@johanlegazpi that’s cool to think about but, the fallen still exist
I don't know if anyone has brought it up before but after the Witness was done "discecting" Mars you see the same Claw -Like Marks across the planet as we did back in the first Destiny on the moon. The only difference is that Mars is glowing but that could just be because of it happening recently. Is there any lore about the moon disappearing and reappearing? I don't believe I've ever heard of it.
So The Witness is the DVC, huh?
Lmao
"Do not be afraid."

And so, the DLC ends with another tease of another great evil.
The Witness makes me feel helpless to where we can't stop him from destroying us all lol :(
wow i was watching this video and got a add for destiny 2
Guardians are hypocrites, they say that they protect the Traveler but then they kill Savathun when she tries to protect it
Because she wanted to monopolize its power.
@@dumbsterdives Not only the last city but everything else.
Those statues on the side could be the entities/monoliths the drifter encounterd
