This video features the highly anticipated Holiday 2024 hourglass ambient lighting palette. It shows the hourglass ambient lighting lotus face palette for deep skin tones, Black women, people of color. I wanted to make sure I featured swatches, a try on and some constructive feedback on this palette. I hope this review is helpful for those with medium deep, deep skin, black skin.

Great review! I think hourglass knows exactly what they doing. They will not give us a palette with all deep colors for marketing purposes. They will milk it as long as they can. They throw in the red color and me and my chocolate sisters will purchase it even though the peach color will not work for us. Next time they’ll replace the red with a deep peach and we’ll purchase it just for that color 😂. I own the tiger palette and use all the colors as highlighter and the contour as a finishing powder. They’re playing with us and we keep playing along but their powders don’t compare to anything on the market.
@@ndiobafall5847 hey, thank you for watching. I hope it was helpful. I def agree with you. I keep holding hope that they not playing in our face and also … right tho it feels like it at times . It’s really what upsets me about hourglass. They could go all the way with these palettes if they wanted. The red definitely grabbed a lot of attention including mine.. 😂and while the peach shade works for me (it is light) I’m also on the lighter side of my beautiful Black sisters and so I know it won’t work for everyone. I get conflicted with them sometimes. They do have a formula that’s really second to none and for my dry skin it’s wonderful and that’s what gets me. I had the tiger palette and was mad about all the shimmer and returned it. This is the best they’ve released & the most women of color friendly. I was very surprise by the finishing powder.

@@PurposefulPursuits I caved in and purchased It with the snake packaging. I use my tiger palette almost daily because the highlighter are so light and work friendly. I will get a lot of use out of this one I’m sure but that peach color will be no use for me. I keep hoping for a true deep palette from hourglass one day

Thank you for sharing the palette. As a red headed freckle faced girl with blue eyes... nothing in that palette should work for me as intended... I bought it to use, primarily as eyeshadow. But, that peach does work on me as a blush, and it is not too intense :( I also agree with you, that there should be 4 options... #4 = deep. Thanks again!!
@@jenblackwell2 yes, I wanted to give fair but needed criticism to the brand. how do you like it for eyeshadow? & yes I could totally see the peach blush working for you.
@@PurposefulPursuits As a soft buildable eyeshadow the Lotus Palette is lovely. The red tones in the bronze and red blush are very pretty for my blue eyes. Yesterday I used a little NYX glitter glue for the highlighters, and they popped beautifully. I can use the setting powder as a bronzer, so it is really useable all the way around for me (even if not as intended).
They need to come out with a deep dark palette. They need 4 palettes to be completely inclusive.

Thanks for watching. I really think they did a very good job with this palette minus the blush critiques I made. This is also my favorite palette they’ve released & I think the best they’ve released. I’m very happy with it. & it would be very cool if someone from hourglass watched my video but I’m a pretty small creator so it’s doubtful 😂

The finishing powder in the lotus palette is the same one in Vol 3. It's called Eternal light. Don't you have volume 3?
@@jazmeen04 thanks for your comment. I don’t own Vol. 3 so I didn’t realize that. When I do my final review on this palette I’ll be sure to mention that so others know.
