- Delighted to share with everyone the seldom seen live TV performance of Cass' fantastic single, 'One Way Ticket.' I believe this aired sometime in 1969 but wouldn't swear to it.
I mean no copyright infringement of any sort. I am only sharing this for fans' appreciation and enjoyment as this is a rarity that is not commercially available anywhere.
Very enjoyable
Awesome!
One of kind. What can one say about that voice?
Cass and her dance moves just brightens my day! I miss her …
Just when I thought I'd seen all her clips - this one most likely from the Andy Williams Show. Fabulous! Thank you.
How do you even keep finding these?! These are amazing! Thanks so much!
Is that the Andy Williams show? According to wikipedia, she performed this song on his show circa 1970 - and the single was released in 1971 in the UK :)
I LOVE YOU CASS💔💔💔💔💔
Her cousin Judy was my art teacher early 70's and dear friend many years. I actually wandered here after seeing Janis Joplin's "Ball & Chain" at Monterey, and noticed Cass and Michelle Philips total awe at the end of the song..... the look is almost like "so THAT's what an orgasm is!?!?!" :)
Argh the nostalgia of this...... thanks :)
she's so adorable af
Lovely Cass! ❤️
Love this song - wonderful to see it performed
Judging from the stage where she descends, it looks the Andy Williams show. This is a great song. Originally a 1968 (?)) Australian single for Helen Reddy.
she was so great.
"One Way Ticket." Music by Stephen Lawrence. Lyrics by Bruce Hart.
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! That's too much, thanks Eran!
Mama Cass forever young!
Great clip, even if she was lip synching. I can't help but smile when I see her perform.
Ah, thanks for another Cass moment!
It's not live. It's a lip sync of a re-recording. I have the entire Andy Williams Show where this came from (without the counter). She also had a couple more performances on the show. They should have allowed her to lip sync to the original recorded version, which sounds so much better. The song may have sold many more copies had she insisted. But I think Andy wanted to keep his band busy by accompanying not only himself but his musical guests as well
How do you know so much about this?
@@prinspray - I'm a music video historian.
Are you serious?
@@prinspray - Yep
Good for you!
Thank you for discovering these Gems!
Born in 76 so I dont kno what in the world I miss but it sounds so refreshing!
Uma figura! Gosto demais!
Wow, there are so many songs that I’ve been aware of for many years, and only now discovering that the voice was beautiful Cass. Watching the video I couldn’t help noticing that something seems to throw her off or upset her at 1:58 - I wonder what that was? A producer signalling to cut it short or something perhaps.
Beautiful ♥️
Oh, yeah!
come
I went to your channel, what is she like your favorite performer or something? Where do you even find all these?
I've been a lifelong fan of The Mamas and The Papas and Cass' too. Been very fortunate to have dug up these rare gems.
@@EranEdry that's awesome man. Yeah they're great. Take care
beautiful voice but this performance is lip synched
I can see why you would think that but that is definitively neither the album nor single version. Only other option if not live is a now lost alternate mix.
@@EranEdry Just look at her walking around and ask yourself where the microphone is or why the sound quality never changes.
Live playback.. um well..
Love it! But Gloria Loring
& Helen Reddy's versions are better because of their orchestration & production.
Cass sang circles around those two. This also isn't the version released as a record. That version is much more produced, with a fantastic arrangement by Jimmie Haskell and the Wrecking Crew playing their asses off. Not to mention Cass' vocals and own layered harmonies.
