Thank you for your gift of music. I shared your singing with my mom during her years of dementia. She is passing over and I am crying my eyes out listening to your voice. 🙏🕯💗 I cannot be with her but your music brings us together.
Brilliant! I always wanted to hear this song in A Capella form. Done so much of that in school that I always wanted to hear this song in the form. Though my classmates didn't like it. 10/10 for you
As usual, fantastic job! If I could request a song for you, it'd be Loch Lomond. Such a great piece and I could see you being able to conquer it. Keep up the good work!
First of all I really dig your videos!. I do have a question though. You're usually the bass singer when you do song with with other people. Do you have videos with other bass singers?
To add to other comments - great that you put the botanical name of edelweiss for pedants - like me - and your tenor on the last edelweiss is stunning!
my dad used to sing this to me and my sister at bedtime when we were kids. He now sings it to my kids when they go visit them... and I sing it to them too
You deserve WAY more subscribers! This is one of my favorite songs ever! (well in a musical that is!) Your rendition of it is beautiful! Keep up the great work!!!!
Not only did that make me smile, it also stirred up something inside of me I haven't felt in a long time. Like back when I was a music major in college... those beautiful chords. Also the association with the Sound of Music, being a child. Thank you for your wonderful work
Julien, This is a fantastic rendition. Well Done! When hearing such beautiful sounds I play others to enhance the moments. I love to check out two Austrian ladies, "Sigrid und Marina" and have learned Edelweiss in German. I just can't stop singing it! Some of the best listening and enjoyment starts with Trudbol for a world tour.
Oh, Julien... This is one of my very favorite songs from my childhood. And yet somehow I've never seen the Sound of Music! This is so beautiful. I could listen to you sing this on repeat all day! 12/10, and thank you for sharing your awesomeness!
Thanks! Yes, you should really watch the movie with Julie Andrews. The musical is a masterpiece and the movie does it justice. I bet you'll recognize several of the songs in it.
Julien, you did it again. I love this song especially because I grew up watching the Sound of Music. It touched my heart. Never stop singing, you're an inspiration. (:
Great song! By far my favorite part is at 1:04 (the minor four musical movement). Keep up the great work with these videos! I've watched every one you've released and have done with Sonny and others. You really know your stuff!
Just wanted to say, my goal is to eventually sound as good as you are. Your voice is without a doubt amazing. The range you have in both aspects tenor and even bass is just brilliant. Because of you and your videos, I actually recently just joined my first ever Barbershop Chorus, and the cool thing about that is the majority of our songs we are doing you have done, so I can listen to you sing them and know what pitch I'm supposed to hit. You have inspired me to do what I love and that's sing. Thanks for being you, and helping me in doing what I enjoy.
Great work! This one was a favorite of mine for a really long time. Then The Beatles took my life;) but I performed this in a 6th grade chorus performance two or three years ago. As usual, you have done it again!
in the Notes - ABOUT - the botanical name of edelweiss is cited, thus enabling pedants - as mentioned - to know WHICH of the daisy-like flowers is meant. Internationally, common names can be confusing, because locals often have their own. This edelweiss has quite a symbolic history, too, currently being given its own show in Geneva, may be adopted officially as the national flower. Your rendition is excellent.
Well done Julien this sounds amazing as do your other songs :) I think you have such a talent because it takes a lot of skill to arrange normal music into barbershop music which is one of my favourite styles and you sing all the parts in some which impresses me a lot. You have inspired me and I have put together a barbershop quartet at the school I go to. Well done again :)
julien I love your videos, especially the old ones where you do entertaining motions while you sing. Just an idea, you could make up different personalities for each of the roles, and then do an entertaining skit before/after the song. even better if theyre always wearing the same colors. Hope you keep singing and being awesome :)
you've done a bang up job - particularly as you have done this on a male voice, and my ear is telling me a baritone.. to be able to go to those other 3 parts for harmony all on your own is not easy.. cudos! my voice may not match to yours but still would enjoy singing with you in IRL or online.. take care
Thank you for your gift of music. I shared your singing with my mom during her years of dementia. She is passing over and I am crying my eyes out listening to your voice. 🙏🕯💗 I cannot be with her but your music brings us together.
Thank you Emily for your kind message, I'm touched and humbled. Be well and keep on singing!
@@JulienNeel Thank you for your kind words. 🙏 I will keep on creating joyful moments.
Bless you and your mother.
Hope you enjoy this classic from "The Sound of Music", arranged in the barbershop style!
You are of course welcome to share the video all you want. :)
Brilliant! I always wanted to hear this song in A Capella form. Done so much of that in school that I always wanted to hear this song in the form. Though my classmates didn't like it. 10/10 for you
Great Job Mister :)
As usual, fantastic job! If I could request a song for you, it'd be Loch Lomond. Such a great piece and I could see you being able to conquer it. Keep up the good work!
Gdigger10 Loch Lomond probably could turn out great in cappella!
First of all I really dig your videos!. I do have a question though. You're usually the bass singer when you do song with with other people. Do you have videos with other bass singers?
I'm glad I found this channel
Right on! Hope you stick around & share! :)
To add to other comments - great that you put the botanical name of edelweiss for pedants - like me - and your tenor on the last edelweiss is stunning!
Thanks! Edelweiss is the name of the song actually. :)
You should send this to Julie Andrews and ask for a Duet! :) Très belle pièce, Julien. Merci! :)
Haha, merci Michel. :)
I love this song and you did a beautiful job with it Julian!
Ah, lovely! What better than relaxing on a Sunday, with a cup of tea, listening to my favourite barbershop singer humming an old tune?
my dad used to sing this to me and my sister at bedtime when we were kids. He now sings it to my kids when they go visit them... and I sing it to them too

You are an amazing young man with so many talents and a gorgeous voice.
Aww thank you Gina, you are too kind. :)
My parents used to sing this to me as a lullaby. Great to hear it again.
Sublime! Wonderful barbershop quartet harmony that in no wise harms the original song. Well done!!!
So beautiful.
goodness - this bass.... awesome harmonies! Great job, as always!
Beautiful, Julien. Absolutely beautiful.
Aww yeah, Julien is back and his harmony is even more soothing than before!

Thanks! Yes, you should really watch the movie with Julie Andrews. The musical is a masterpiece and the movie does it justice. I bet you'll recognize several of the songs in it.

No, the special with Carrie Underwood was better.
Albert Giesbrecht I didn't say one was better, I just recommended watching that one.

Your channel really made me love the "Good night, Sweetheart" song! Our family watched it together and we love it!!
Hermosa voz, exquisita y magistral interpretación. Mi admiración y respeto por su excelente propuesta musical.
Lovely multi-harmony of this classic that most folks in the US associate with the Sound of Music! Your beautiful musical pieces are a real delight!
Thank you John, I appreciate it!

Masterpiece! Loved it!!
Nice job dude. I wish I sounded that good on recordings. I've never really liked Broadway, but you put a really nice twist on it. Thanks.

I like most of the movie's songs :)
What is the sound of the video light and colors!
It is so authentic-sounding, many people believe this is an Austrian folksong .
On my birthday too
Julien: I absolutely love your videos, and I have become a supporter on patreon. When do you think you will be releasing your next video?
Thank you for your support. :)
I'll pick up on the weekly release rhythm starting this week!
