Hi Matt, love your videos! Just wondering why would I need a CR bank anyways when my US funds are directly deposited and all my bills are paid electronically ?

Best advice...don't trust much in the way of finance and or government in CR.

Another great bit of info...enjoying your series. I'm initiating my 24 month plan. I anticipate $300 to $350k proceeds from the sale of my home in Colorado. I was wondering if you knew someone in the financial market there who could maybe explain taking this principal and investing in CD's there that would provide nice monthly supplementation til my retirement and S.S. kicks in 5 or so years? Thanks again for your various insights.

Thank you very much for watching JP and my apologies for the delay in responding! It would be extremely interesting to cover this topic and I'll have to try and figure out who in the financial industry here could also speak English. My only experience is watching the CD rates while I'm waiting at the bank....

Hi Matt, Are you aware of Costa Rican banks that allow someone to open an account without physically being in the country?

At the moment, no! You can assign a POA to allow someone else to open the account on behalf of your corporation, and not be physically present, but otherwise the only banks I'm aware of require your presence!
