Finally to make your own Royal Icing
Beat 1 Egg white to break it down
Add 200g Icing Sugar gradually and Beat
You want it quite runny but not too runny, if you accidentally add too much icing sugar simply add a small amount of water. ( Royal icing can be stored in the fridge for three days when its not set ) Once Royal icing has been left to set it will last just as long as fondant, the sugar acts as a natural preservative.

It honestly is as easy as it looks, i do my best to keep things as simple as possible and way i cover the actual cake may seem unusual and not " The Done Thing" BUT who cares, it works and its so much easier to keep the fondant smooth and neat x So the principle applies to any TALL Cake as long as its refrigerated first so its stable enough x

@@RachelsEnchantingCakes true, who cares as long as it works. I rolled a cake in hundreds and thousands because that makes more sense and works for me.

You can if you want to but having REAL FIRE makes it so much more effective trust me, the photo taken doesn't do it justice. The way its made protects the cake and all you do to eat it is remove the top thats protecting the cake x
