  • LED Pool Lights look super cool in my above ground pool. In this video I show you what I like and what I don’t like about the lights. I show you from opening the box all the way through lighting up the pool. I found these lights on Amazon.     I purchased 3 sets and attached them directly to the metal poles without the need of suction cups nor magnets.

    I haven't done this but eveyone is asking about the magnets ... i can only assume that they are using the metal rebar inside pool walls when it was built .. you would just need to super glue the magnet on back of light fixtures.. but a good strong magnet 🧲

      This set has small magnets built in, I just bought small but heavy duty magnets from my local Ace hardware. I hold the light on the side of the pool with a magnet on the outside of the liner

    You should make a video how you put the magnets on the light and in the pool

      It’s really simple. I bought strong magnets from my local hardware store. They are maybe 1”x1 1/2”. Just hold the light where you want it inside the pool and then take the magnet on the outside of the pool and line it up to the light it will hold it. 👍🏼

    I just bought these and they came in the mail yesterday. Didn’t try them in pool yet. Good to know suction cups don’t work lol. But with the magnet how did you get that to work??

    These look incredible, I thought they were a joke at first. However, two of them fell off the vinyl liner inground pool wall the next day. Should be a better way to attach or have brackets to hang from edge of pool down into water I ordered bigger suction cups to try those but I may be designing a wire bracket that will cup the lights while attaching to the existing pool cover screws that are already in the cement decking

      Yeah the suction cups are horrible I end up using magnets and they work great

      I just bought some square mags from my local ace hardware. They are about 1”x 1.5” they work great

      Hold the light on the inside of the pool and the magnet will hold on to it

      Looks like he’s using an above ground pool.

      From the outside, put the magnet on the outside of the wall and the light on the inside. As long as the magnet is strong enough it will go through the wall lining

      It’s held up by the magnet on the back of the light.

      Yeah just hold the magnet on the outside and move the light to it on the inside

    Great review, I really like those lights, great addition to the pool. We like the set up you have going on as well, the pool, the lights, the deck. Do you have a room for rent and we could make that a vacation spot.

    Hi your video is a great demonstration of these lights by loftek! I do have a question i saw that the suction cups are 25mm do you think 50mm suction cups would work better?

    How did you keep the light from rusting the side of your pool

      I don’t keep them in the pool, I only put them in when we have a night swim

    How long does the battery last?

      Hard to say I don’t run them all the time, and so far this season they still work on one set of batteries

      I bought a small but strong magnet from my local ace hardware. I put the magnet on the outside and the light on the inside under the water.

      Mine have lasted for three months now and still going. But then again we don’t really do a ton of night time swimming

    How do the magnets stick to the tile on the pool?

      They only work on a intex type pool not a concrete pool

    I have a good question. We’re setting up our pool again this summer and I was wondering is it better to set the lights up before you fill the pool or after you fill up the pool?

      I would fill the pool first personally, but if you use magnets it really won’t matter either way

      As long as you have a strong enough magnet to use because the suction cups are not strong enough

      you wouldn't, unless you attached a piece of metal to your pool wall (glue?) and the magnet to the back of the light.

      I put the magnet on the outside of the pool and the light on the inside, my intex pool liner is thin enough that the magnet worked great.

      They seem to be doing great, I take them out when I’m not using them. I just figure they will last longer that way.

    hello can I ask how did you paste the led lights to the pool? aside from the suction cup how did you magnet it??

      The lights have small magnets in the back, so all I did was put my square magnets on the outside of the pool and the lights in the inside. The magnet is strong enough to hold the lights up through the liner.

      I went to my local Ace hardware and bought four separate magnets. I put the lights on the inside of the pool in the magnets on the outside of the liner

      So far they are working great I just make sure to remove them from the pool after every use. I bought them early last year and they are still going strong

    Couple questions do you still have these lights and how do you feel about them now that you’ve had them for a while do they definitely sink to the bottom and did you say each one needs three AA batteries?

      Yes I still have them they work great. I bought some magnets and those work great. And yes they use AA batteries. 👍

    Any updates after a year's use? Are these throw-away lights or how long do you think they will last? Your video prompted me to buy these. I bought 8 for my IN GROUND pool.

      Still going strong, I haven’t had to change batteries this season yet, And we have used them quite a bit. 👍 After this summer they will be 2 full seasons old. Just to make them last longer I also store them inside when I’m not using them

      These lights might not work for that type of pool, the suction cups that come with it are not very good

    Sending a signal through the water is going to take a lot. Having to be close to them while they are underwater seems beyond reasonable.

      he has an above ground pool. He puts a magnet on the outside of the pool wall, and a magnet on the back of the light. It's really not that complicated.
