i miss when all star moves were unique and not just characters turning into their plane forms and shooting some kind of projectile or shockwave and the announcer just saying they've gone all star instead of eggman pressing his red button.
Transformed is definitely the better game, but what made the first game stick out for me was its personality, specifically with the announcer and unique all-star moves. I almost like it more because of that.
My thoughts exactly. I've been looking into both recently and remember the first one fondly from when I was a kid, and it seems like that's because the first one has a little more personality (could also be nostalgia glasses to be fair!)
So many memories playing this as a 5 year old did come back to the game for nostalgia and to bring back the memories I've cherished for oh so long and my god they came flooding back
The reason why the all-star moves got heavily nerfed in this game is because in the original game, most all-stars could easily send you back to first place, making it easy to cheese your all-stars.

I bought sonic all star racing about 2 hours ago and have played it a ton, I've bought it since it was on sale + the game was a part of my childhood I decided to play the game and set the AI a little high, so I would usually see myself at around last place depending on the map And on god it is horrible how OP they were I was sent flying from 8th place to first place

I played Sonic Heroes on the computer , but stopped, because I couldn't get used to the controls on there. That was years ago on a computer that died quickly. If I fully played Sonic Heroes and I fought Metal Sonic, then What I'm Made of would be my favorite Metal Sonic theme. Stardust Speedway is pretty good, with Sonic Mania, Sonic Forces and Sonic Generations being my favorite versions of Stardust Speedway, but Sonic 4 ep 2 is better, because it fits Metal Sonic better as a fight, while the other songs are more fit for a race. It's repetitive yet awesome.

It feels like the only unique ones are NiGHTS, Reala, and Gum. NiGHTS and Reala’s All-Stars basically let you control them in their normal humanoid forms, while Gum’s takes inspiration from DJ Professor K’s description of her, leaving a trail of broken hearts wherever she goes. Everyone else’s is either a get-off-me burst or a projectile attack.

Plus the Tracks in this are FAR superior to the first game's because they each represented different games as opposed to the 3 tracks per world (most of which was Sonic).

Transformed was an extremly underated game. Amazing dynamic tracks, a pretty decent roster that had 1 or 2 different exclusive characters depending on the console version and some really neat single player content. I hope this game gets a sequel someday.
The tracks are fine nobody complains about those well maybe race of ages idk, but everyone's just upset that the all stars all generally look the same movement buff and short or long range projectile, and you say unbalanced well of course racing games with items tend to do that and besides it was fun. They all just look so plain in this game
At least it has something good, as down graded as it may be. At least better than Team Sonic Racing which is basically just a boost instead of an actual attack. At least the music was good too in that game. This game overall is better in music when comparing the two recent games. The first game is better all star wise.
I think the All Star moves were made this way to make the game work online. The OG all star moves had cutscenes, so maybe that’s why the old game didn’t have online

Plane: The rocket in the last commercial Boat: Sega Saturn controller All Star: The plane actually turns into a dragon and Segata shoots the rocket from the last commercial repeatedly.
How about Silver the hedgehog driving a formula e car which works almost like Sonic's; only more streamlined? For all star move, I suggest his powers locking onto another racer.

It’d be way better if the two games “combined,” such as having all characters from both games in one big game, as well as the old announcer and all stars. Also more tracks for each franchise, and more remixed songs for these tracks. Also, have certain characters from both games use bikes like in the last one.

I wouldn't say Bland at all in fact one track per world gives each one more of chance to shine. Just look at Rogue's Landing and Graveyard Gig.

The All-Star moves in this game were just lame. I mean the ones in the prequel actually did some damage, but these are hardly useful...
I dunno. I can count PLENTY of instances where a well-timed, and well-aimed projectile from an All-Star move moved me up some in a race. So, I suppose it honestly depends on your definition of useful. :P
In the previous game, the all star moves was high speed maneuvers, areal blasts, and ranged attacks. Now it's only areal blasts and ranged attacks.
I could see some damage being caused, but some are absolutely pathetic.

This is the most accurate way to describe this game, lol.
It’d be way better if the two games “combined,” such as having all characters from both games in one big game, as well as the old announcer and all stars. Also more tracks for each franchise, and more remixed songs for these tracks. Also, have certain characters from both games use bikes like in the last one.
