Hi Nick! Managed to find a good deal during the Prime Day event, so I couldn't pass up on not grabbing one of these. Of course, the major caveat with this box is that it does not have a pull-down notification bar. Could you please remind me what additional app you use for that? Thanks, buddy!

Thanks, Nick! Unfortunately pull down menu only shows a few buttons (wifi, airplaine, rotate, etc - cannot be toggled) and no notifications. I also tried snowball, but I guess the permission's section does not work with this device. I appreciate your quick response, though!

This is my real voice but not my real accent. My accent is not RUclips friendly, meaning the dialect is Caribbean and speaking in my natural dialect will cause thousands of viewers not to understand what I am saying. So I am forced to ditch my accent and train myself to speak in a semi-American/British accent. So I hope my viewers bear with me as I continue to work at my communication skills.

Great video, but i think there is a bug on the optical digital port test. There is actually no optical port that can provide lossless audio codec like dts-hd ma, atmos or dts-x ;) Standard DTS at best ;)
OK so after reading your comment I did some research and will have to agree with your assessment. However that doesn't explain what's happening with these boxes and the optical audio port reading reading. So I will have to make a decision on weather to continue that segment, or not. So once again, I learn something new everyday, thanks David.
@@tvboxstop You're welcome. The fact is that optical ("Toslink") standard has at least 15 or 20 years old, and an upgrade of this standard is very unlikely because there is HDMI to do that now. The best that we can expect via Toslink is to have a downgrade of True HD / Atmos to classic Dolby Digital, and downgrade of DTS HD MA / DTS X to Classic DTS, because the bandwidth is not sufficient to transport a better format.

I've had a couple of boxes in my time but I am due to an upgrade as one of mine is no longer supported by Netflix and some other apps. I like this one but I did not see any mention of Firefox, which, for my use, I need it to be installed. Is it possible to have Firefox installed on this? I ask because I recently bought am MI TV box which I returned as I could not install Chrome (full version) nor Firefox. Your help would be greatly appreciated :)
I still have this box connected as I its working so well, I checked and Firefox comes pre-installed you just have to update it on the play store and it works perfectly. And the same goes for Google Chrome

Wish it had Android 10 which supports the new AV1 video codec. Would also like to see future boxes tested for AAC 5.1/7.1 audio codec. Excellent review as always tho.
I am not even sure if TV box have Hi res audio codecs. From my research I believe that Hi_Res audio from these TV boxes are a bit distant.
@@tvboxstop .AAC isn't HiRes. HiRes is just another name for .FLAC files. .AAC are basically .M4A files like from iTunes except they are multi channel. Actually, they are most commonly found with H.264 or H.265 video in a .MP4 or .MKV container. I could send you a sample if you like.

Hi Ronald. In my current video I am recording I tested an AAC audio file and the box plays it OK. It's a 7.1 channel test audio file from www2.iis.fraunhofer.de/AAC/multichannel.html. The only issue is that the receiver doesn't show anything special on the display that indicates that it's an ACC audio file, it just says PCM. So I will not be showing that in the video as it will not prove anything to my viewers

Hi Nick so I purchased N6 Plus and have a few issues:
Navigation bar disappeared and can’t find a way to bring it back
My box under Droid Settings doesn’t show as many options as you display on your video
Update shows: no OTA connection
The remote is the worst POS ever
I installed a few apps but it looks my box is software is different than yours...
Any ideas to bring back navigation bar?
Connect a PC mouse or an air-mouse and swipe upwards from the bottom of the screen.
That is a different firmware from mine, maybe a aftermarket seller.
@@tvboxstop it was there at first boot but after installing few apps gone. I just restarted clean the box yet no nav bar...

Hi Andre you said S905X3, so I would recommend the X96 Max+ and the A95X F3 RGB order an active cooling fan I highly recommend because you are gaming and temps will rise.
Thanks for the comment about the new format, because hearing yourself on RUclips more weird than you think and making the videos are harder than it appears to be. So it helps to know that viewers think.
Ok got it, thanks a lot. Its kinda confusing with so many to choose from and that's only from 1 chipset variation. I considered buying an active cooling fan too after watching your review on the A96 Air and yes, the new fomat is better, using your real voice is a good move because it gave it more of a human touch to it. The Answer no, the features are all over the place and no one box fits all the criteria. Not even the Nvidia Shield
The best bet is to buy 2 TV boxes.

It's not just the ram, you need a good internet speed, 10/100/1000 rj45 port, great firmware, and a non throttled web site, the new minix boxes for 2020 might fulfill your needs,
I've purchased this box about 3 weeks ago and it performs very well! No overheating and the firmware is stable also. But the box I have is 4GB + 64GB(couldn't find the 4GB+128GB version) and doesn't come with the voice control remote, just the generic android tv remote:( Also, my android box clock speed is higher. It's 2.21GHz not 1.80GHz as shown in the review. But overall, this is an excellent android tv box. A bit more expensive than the average box but, once you see how well it performs, you'll see it's worth the price.
BTW, I use a mini keyboard to navigate on-screen and when I press the Q button it doesn't show on the screen. I've tried different keyboards but, I still get the same result. If I need a Q, I have to use the on-screen (pop-up)keyboard. It's not a problem, just strange. Just want to know if anyone else have this problem with their Magicsee N6 Plus Android TV Box.
That's great you found a 2.2Ghz model! The mini keyboard issue try selecting a different layout from the settings like UK ofr something if there is an option
You not telling me any of the information I am looking for which is what operating system is it running is it Android TV or is running on Open Android that is important to me, that determines whether or not I will be able to do what I want to do with it

Yes it will be, these premium services need digital rights protection encryption (DRM Lv1) on boxes for them to play. Some may not play at all if a box does not have the digital rights certification

I mostly use Panda mouse pro for Battle Royal games, and Panda Mouse pro for gamepad games (Pay for one full version and it applies to the both apps)

Install Octopus, login into the play store from inside the app, add COD mobile to the Octopus add game list.
Run game from inside Octopus.
Select Keyboard and mouse mode for top drop down menu. You can use Gamepad mode if you prefer.
Click Plus button and add keyboard keys to the screen where you want the keys to execute a function.
Important under dropdown settings change mouse toggle from mouse right-click to ctrl on the keyboard. After that click Plus and add mouse right click as a function on the screen for aiming. Take your time you will learn it and enjoy it. If any problems just ask. Oh yes! the box must be rooted for it to work.

You actually don't have much choices. Use the Panda gamepad pro, and the Panda mouse pro beta, Octopus keymapper. All of these are from the same developer. Get the paid version of Panda it activates both apps with one purchase

Yes of course there is nothing illegal about them. Some games find them unfair so block them

@@tvboxstop Sorry I was asking where you purchased this box? I found a 64gb on Gear Best, 128gb was discontinued.
Yes it sold out pretty quickly , I checked other sources and they are also sold out. The 64GB models are what remains. It's the same performance just less storage but 64Gb is still a lot for a TV box.
