Giving my sailboat a name | Maxi Racer refit

Renaming my sailboat was an obvious project considering the old name was way too big and plastered to boat sides of the hull. My cat is named after a Star Wars character so of course I had to stay true to my habit and also choose a name for my boat from the Star Wars universe. I'm super happy with the name and Finland being a bilingual country it was super important that the name can be pronounced correctly in both languages.
In this episode of my boat refit series we move on to working on the deck by removing some of the old deckharware and oiling the teak lists on the deck. I also prepare for stepping the mast by cleaning the mast and replacing all the halyards. Finally it's time to step the mast. After these challenging few months I also host a little get together with coffee and cake to thank everyone who have been helping me with the boat refit.

Hoppas du kommer ut och får seglat snart! Farsan hade en racer förut som vi kappseglade med på somrarna. Det är en av de absolut roligaste båtarna jag någonsin seglat! Man kan nog inte få mer båt för pengarna

Har inte bytt några instrument eller så bara "grunden" till elsystemet. Till nästa säsong måste jag byta rören som dränerar sittbrunnen samt har beställt nya segel. Får se vad mer man hittar på.
