BOD and COD are two parameters to define the quality of sewage water. Whether the oxygen demand in the two cases can distinctly be calculated.Are the two parameters completely independent to each other.What is the value of BOD and COD of sea water and that of a fresh river water.

For a fresh river water, it is abiously less the permissable limits.. the values depends on place to place ... The COD and BOD values represents two kinds of pollutants in water.. COD represent industrial+ domestic waste.. BOD represents only biowaste...
