  • Now that the 60th Anniversary Specials have concluded, Troy and Crispy are looking back over them and deciding whether the trilogy was as good as we'd hoped it would be - but they're not doing it along! Luke and Meg from the fantastic DW2012 Doctor Who fan film series have joined in to help review the specials, discuss Ncuti Gatwa's new sonic screwdriver and even share their hopes for his first episode in just over a week's time... oh, and Meg was also in The Giggle. She may or may not mention it. No biggie.

If they did want to do a Doctor reveal they should do it with they're on as the guests and have just forwarded the link to their new Doctor and just sent them a text saying "Join now" then say "Oh and by the way meet our new Doctor" and just you see someone join the room and freak out!

I enjoyed Tennant as 10 but the specials just did not work for me. Series 4 revisited was the only vibe I got.

I think the new sonic looks like a Ferengi spaceship when it’s extended

As someone who grew up watching both the revival (on TV) and the classic eras (on DVD), I was waiting for them to continue the founding fathers plotline. This was the one thing I wanted from Chris. I remember watching "Silver Neimsis" as a kid and being so intrigued, so I adore the Timeless Child plotline, which I feel is a perfectly handled continuation of this. I also like the idea of bi-regeneration, but we have only seen the beginning of that plotline I read in the Radio Times: "Doctor Who bi-regeneration, "bigger than you think," creates a "Doctorverse." Russell said that it could "lead to all sorts of things" and that it makes it easier for him to bring back past Doctors.
I would rate this miniseries a 7/10, as I think that the revival was at its best with series 9-13, but I liked it more than some of Russell's previous series.
