I have to say I enjoy learning about the items you show us ,you seem to get to know them really well and all the nitty gritty parts of them that make them worth buying . But yes being realistic I would like to see your version of different types of EDC that are budget friendly ie note book ,pens , wallets / holders , bags small and rucksacks. I agree that a chair is an awesome part of EDC, even though I'm not much of an EDC nerd. But there are good alternatives. REI makes one for $100 that only weighs a pound. And they often have it on sale for 30% to 50% off
Thanks for for another informative video. Since you started sharing, you have informed my EDC, as well as what I have given my wife and other family members. Certainly not a copy of your gear, your fingerprints are all over our kit. I’d have never known of some very useful gear without you.
Hi Jon -- you'd replied to one of my posts in your one of your other videos that you'd "love a Victorinox Yeoman". It's awfully hard to find one, but I found a guy on ebay that puts them together from all Victorinox parts. I followed your lead and got one with black plus scales and red scale tools and added a red lanyard. It's fantastic. I also had him put in the grooved corkscrew of old, a new version of the magnifier & shorter harder-metal phillips, and a hook with the file on the back. You can get him to do layers in the order of the original Vic or the alternative swiss Bianco version (hook and scissors on the end instead of the mag & phillips on the end). Let me know if you'd like me to tell you his ebay name so you can look him up and get one yourself (he's in the USA).
Hi Skyler - that's really interesting - yes would be great to get his details - perhaps email me if poss - email address is in the About section of the channel - thank you 👍
Just a heads up that the Nitecore power bank has an actual rating of 6,400mAh at 5V. 10000mAh is at 3.85Volts which is not what phones charge at. It's a bit deceptive but it seems a common practice to rate at the nominal voltage of the underlying battery cell. Bottom line is your actual capacity is roughly 2/3 what you think it is.
Happy Saturday Jon. Are there many sheep needing their feet cutting in central London nowadays? The Spey & Sheepsfoot are my least favourite blade shapes but I am glad you at least gave the 91mm Victorinox Compact an honourable mention. FYI I now have 3, 2 in my EDC rotation ( both with Plus scales - one Rubi red & one Emerald green ) & my new one is the Halloween edition Compact from VSAKCS
@@JonGadget for being the top EDC knife I would say it all boils down to which one do you use more often? Given that the Kansept is single blade knife with no other tools & you have stated a number of times in the past that a scissors is a must for you, are you now doing multiple cutting tasks everyday that require a premium steel bladed knife & use the Kansept far more than the Compact?
Hi Jon, love you video's. I have the older A28 and use it several times a day like you say. Really want the Belroy now (a good bag is a must). I have a compact and again use it all the time. Keep up the fab work

Liking that Knife I rarely use a point on a knife at work, if I do I have smaller knifes and multi tool. Nice setup on bottle and looks sharp. The chair seems low to me.

Its a shame but with the company's lousy customer service I can't share your positive viewpoint.
