Good demo thanks. Pity the VM stuff is not ready. We use pageant on windows to pass the key info into putty and 'ForwardAgent yes' for ssh to move to other servers. IPA does seem to recognize this.
If your hypervisor supports usb pass through to your desktop there’s no reason it shouldn’t work. My issue was that I wasn’t running on a vdi solution. Just a local kvm guest.
Hi Bro I need your help I want to configure something identical to Active Directory on Linux, so that I can join systems to domain as well as authenticate users using domain credentials. Kindly reply & help its a request, also if you can provide a step by step guide it will also help
The only solution in know of that mimics active directory in linux, that also supports windows clients, is Samba. If you're talking about linux only, then Freeipa or Red Hat IDM would do the trick. i don't have a howto on hand for samba. but the freeipa-ansible role will setup either freeipa or idm for you really easily.
Great innovation, looking forward to using it on a regular basis.
Great idea! Much safer than keeping a written list in my wallet 😜
