Everyone talks about "Castles Made Of Sand" and "If 6 Was 9 on this LP, but I love this cut and " Spanish Castle Magic". " Little Miss Lover" is a short but ROCKING tune!
Girls back then weren't named Brittney. They were named Cindy and Michelle and Janice and Sherrie. Heh. "Little Wing", "Bold as Love", "If 6 Was 9" -- check out "One Rainy Wish" for some psychedelic funkiness -- "I have never laid eyes on you ..."
This song really highlights Jimi's rhythm guitar playing. This is one of the very few Hendrix songs (maybe the only one?) that does not contain a guitar solo. You should definitely check out SPANISH CASTLE MAGIC. That will knock you off your seat.
I got this record (Axis: Bold As Love) for Christmas in 1967, along with Are You Experienced? They were from my cousin Sheena who took me to the Isle of Wight festival in 1970 . I actually wanted to see Emerson, Lake and Palmer more than anything else. When Jimi died only a month later I really started to get more into his music because my parents immigrated to Seattle (from Ayrshire Scotland 🏴) just before he died.
that was one of his best!!! kinda overlooked. I already had the first Are You Experienced. My favorite photo was a poster from Rolling Stone magazine. back when they did music, not politics. the next best part about vinyl was the album covers. This one was WOW!
Biz, are you going to react to Jimi's albums? Not sure if all his material that he recorded in his lifetime is available on RUclips, but it would be really cool to see you getting into his entire albums. They're freaking awesome. And then there's the live stuff...
Fun fact: Jimi Hendrix could not read music just like the Bee Gees and Eddie Van Halen. Eddie VH took piano lessons as a kid and watched his piano teacher's fingering to learn to play piano by ear. Amazing how many of the greats played by ear. Jimi Hendrix is so mellow & humble in his 1969 /70 interview with Dick Cavett a year after Woodstock. Smokey delivery from Jimi H. - love his voice!
This song is hilarious. The title track to this album is pretty awesome. Voodoo Chile, the 15 minute version from Electric Ladyland. Must kusten. It's the greatest thing ever.
Now you are getting into the real Hendrix genius. It you truly want to complete your Hendrix "Experience" you must listen to the long version, not the short version of Voodoo Child on the Electric Ladyland Album (Stevie Winwood on keyboard and Jack Casady on Bass)
Bismo I remember when that song came out I got the record three days after I heard it on the radio actually the whole album yeah I remember this song back then yo bismo get on
Please do more songs from Axis Bold as Love. AND, please do the one I've been suggesting forever (while you still can find it on YT): "Voodoo Chile" the long version on Jimi's Electric Ladyland album (over 14 minutes), not Voodoo Child Slight Return, the one you've heard before. This one will blow you away. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/4lQ1U9v6wJM/видео.html

Great song from a great album. Every song is good on this album.

House Burning Down by Hendrix is an underappreciated masterpiece. I don't think anyone's reacted to it on RUclips. I'd recommend that one.
oh yes!!!!!!!!
His guitar actually sounds like it is on fire on that one...
One of my favorites. Shows Jimi's many rhythm skills. He has perfect timing. Smooth as butter.
"If 6 was 9" by Jimi Hendrix
This is Jimi’s lighthearted sense of humour mixed with his upbeat sense of rhythm and lyrical sense of poetry. Totally off the wall. Just plain fun.
Voodoo Chile & 1983 A merman I should turn to be are must listen songs ✌️🤟🎸 from Electric Ladyland
