      Well ya that stunk but probably added only a couple minutes to the repair. Its amazing how fast you can go when you're covering your own butt.

      @@TheGreasyShopRag Friend is the 33:1 mix for the saw 372 xp 357xp 351 scythe
      545rx ok with Husqvarna LS+ Jaso FD oil?

    • @TheGreasyShopRag
      @TheGreasyShopRag  Год назад +3

      @@Sensei948 I recommend any FD rated oil to those that ask. Yes you can run 33:1 and many people do run ratios richer in oil than 50:1 without issue...and even swear by it. The people that make these saws and stand behind the warranty say 50:1 is good enough. I have no reason to argue with them.

      @@TheGreasyShopRag So it shouldn't damage the piston by detaching the carbon deposit? . The saw works in home use

      @@Sensei948 If you're gonna remove carbon from an engine use wood or plastic scrapers to prevent causing damage.

    For a 25 year old saw it still looks brand new. I take good care of mine but still cut 5 cord a year with it and she is getting worn right out

    Ya memang semua mesin harus selalu di kontrol kebersihan karburatornya. Karna jika tersumbat mesin tidak akan lancar digunakan

    Great videos, man! Clear, concise, right to the point. I've got a 365 special that starts but barely runs very smokily if I fooll with the choke, and it's leaking fuel out the muffler. I watched your video on that earlier. Question: Any significant difference for this fix between the various 365 's, lke special, XP, etc? What variant was this one?

      I don't remember the details of this saw but the repair procedures are the same.

    Thanks. I dont get why it needed carb servicing? Looked like a brand new saw and carb? Maybe the guy who brought you did richer fuel mix with lets say classic red stihl oil so chainsaw started bogging and eventually died? Mine 365XT with 22" bar goes on default factory settings cutting about 10 cords of hard Euro Oak tree last 8 years so that is cca 80 cords on factory settings and same factory spark plug? I use husqvarna synthetic blue oil for mix.

      Not sure how old this one was but the customer brought it in for a carb rebuild and thats what he got. Thanks for the comment.

    Nice to work on a clean one. How many metering diaghrams do you charge in a month?

      It depends on the time of year. In the spring when stuff is coming out of storage...or should I say fermentation...it could average 5 a day. I have a lot of other responsibilities at the shop so don't always spend all day at the bench.

    How do you adjust the carb setting with those stupid limiters on the high low screws? I cant figure out how to remove the limiters to pull the screws out or adjust more than a 1/4 turn.

    • @TheGreasyShopRag
      @TheGreasyShopRag  10 дней назад

      I think a splined adjuster tool fits in there. When you push in its spring loaded and allows adjustment past the limiters.
