Interesting video for sure. The Republic had some great ideals but it feel apart to due to many issues like you stated. While it could have been run a whole heck of a lot better for sure, running thousands of planets via one centralized disconnected senate was always going to be really damn difficult because of the sheer scale.

Thrawn said the reason the empire lost at endor was because the whole fleet palpatine commanded. Which left weakness. So ur point is basically supportened by thrawn.
@@StarWarsDiscoveredIndeed, the series the Clone Wars shows us the changes in the Republic in the latter seasons. By then in all but name the Republic already was the Empire, even if people didn’t know it.
