Foconi vs Garozzo is amazing. They fought equally until second period where the last 5 touches were essentially "How to fence against Daniele Garozzo 101". It looks as if Foconi wanted Garozzo to remember Dusseldorf in that second period
Fencing Insider Your personal software? Or from the source? Because we gotta start a letter campaign for all feeds to have this, optionally, for commentary, even live yak-yak color on disputed calls.
@@bananapeel8178 It seems to be Yuki Ota's brainchild - I remember seeing this video a while back (ruclips.net/video/uQWSRvcPcPs/видео.html) which is part of Ota's fencing visualised project. Seems to be some kind of machine vision algorithm that is aiming to provide real-time interpretation of fencing phrasing. Makes sense that a japanese competition would be the first place to test the technology
Three years since his last posting. Sheesh couldn't any of the large Fencing organizations throw a few $$ his way? Waitasec.... *this*one is recent, right? So what's the source, again? It's a Tokyo broadcast. Whichever Japanese broadcaster did buy his stuff...Therefore, it boils down to: get more stuff from Japan media! (Also, thank you for everything/anything you work to post.)
He's very good at landing his attacks when the opponent counterattacks. Foconi did well against that, though. He knew not to underestimate Pauty, who beat him in the 2018 St. Petersburg final.
The light trails on the tip of the foil are fabulous. Besides being cool they really facilitate viewing the blade-work. Thank you.
Thank you, Jim Voelz! The light trails are amazing and definitely very helpful, too.

Replaying the action so “the rest of us” can interpret it is fabulous. Thanks!
great plays and graphic works!
I like how Focconi and Garrozo are respectful for each other as teammates, they never screamed at each other during the bout.
I think the Olympic Games should be Foconi’s OG
Shredded the finals holy cow
garozzo has beautiful flicks
Damn Foconi knows how to stay calm
Maxime Pauty doing so well was a nice suprise.

Fencing Insider also the speed he gets off the en garde line is incredible
